I stopped into this place on my way back to the hotel after a long night on Bourbon Street..I really don't know why I went in, curiosity I guess. The place is a dump..from the cranky bartender to the "dancers", which I'm fairly certain were not all female. The beer was cold, I'll give you that, but the dancers were certainly not attractive although their aggressive solicitations would have been great had they been in the least bit attractive. Extras were readily available, but not desirable and I certainly didn't partake in that buffet of feminine (I think) flesh.. Don't stop there, just don't... Remember the old saying about curiosity killing the cat...

Stopped by this place on my way north..needed a stripper fix and this was the one (out of two in Leesville) that I pulled into..The good thing about this place is that they serve beer..that's it.. The mostly unattractive group of dancers seem very interested in the locals/regulars..probably a good thing for me because spending money on them would have been a bad decision on my part. The club itself is OLD.and truly needs some type of refurbishing..the dancers could use some remodeling work as well..it's a military base type club so I'm sure that the regulars are poor soldiers, in a sense I was happy to see them have some company but I hated to see them spend their hard earned paychecks on what was in there..but I was young and in the army once and I completely understand their predicament. Don't waste your time..don't stop..I would say keep on heading to Shreveport, but the clubs there suck as well, lol..so if you have to have your stripper itch scratched, do it before you leave south Louisiana.. Save your money for the casinos in Bossier City...

Honestly the physical facility is really nice..it's comfortable and the drinks are not crazy expensive. The dancers are attractive and the bartender(s) nice..BUT the dances are certainly NOT all that..some contact is allowed,but you know that it's not gonna be up to par. If the club would allow dancers more latitude, with the nice club and pretty ladies it could be a real winner. Don't get me wrong, the dancers are ok to sit with and some can carry a conversation, but in the end, it's a drink buying strategy..you buy expensive drinks, then goodbye. Anyway, it's certainly a nice place to visit and I'm okay going there, but it doesn't stack up to the club in Port Allen and that's not too far away.

After meetings downtown, I decided to return make my usual visit to Bourbon Street..For some reason, I keep returning to Lipstixx even though my experiences there have been hit and miss, at best. I'm guessing that it's location has lots to do with it because it's next door to my favorite club, Scores. Anyway, when I walked in I ran into a dancer who I knew from other clubs (in her late 40's) as well as a friend of hers who was about the same age. The friend immediately got my attention, but I knew that if I was going to enjoy myself I would have to expend funds on both and that did not bode well for my success there. Basic information, this club is like every most other mid-level clubs on Bourbon, with the exception that I have had some success in otc there..Drinks cost what Bourbon street drinks cost..expen$ive but at least the bartender there was generous with her allocation of alcohol and was friendly as well. You're gonna get hit on there, for drinks and for dances, and the hits won't quit until you sit with someone or you walk out of the door. One of Lipstixx most redeeming amenities is that you can go into a courtyard to smoke and don't have to stand outside next to the barker...it's a nice place to make an introduction to dancers in a quieter environment. The courtyard also has small cottage like rooms where you will get lapdances..they aren't private, they can get a little crowded, but they don't seem to damper the motivated dancers' enthusiasm and some fun can be had there. Summing it up, it's one of the three establishments I have to visit when I hit Bourbon..it's fun if you can put up with the (sometimes) unwanted attention of dancers and I do enjoy my time there.

Oh what a night..that's what the song says and that's how the night went. Met a local dancer from St. Bernard parish..went upstairs for a 30 minute session..negotiated to $350..WOW...I love this place..it had gone down a bit, but the quality of dancers was great for the summer and you get lots of attention on the floor and considerably more in the VIP area. I was looking for a girl from out of town who travels down occasionally and wanted to meet up outside the club..but I did hit the bingo. Bring cash..but it's got the normal 3 for 100 that is a great introduction and appetizer if you hit the right person. Drinks a tad more than most Bourbon Street clubs, but the atmosphere is worth it..that night it was a cross between Big Daddy friendly and Rick's looks...like I say, bring money and be prepared to leave a bit there.

Went to this club last week..the best attribute was a smoking area outside in a small "courtyard" so I didn't have to stand on the sidewalk to smoke. Drinks are not too expensive for New Orleans, $9.00 for a well drink. Not very many attractive dancers, one I recognized has to be near 50..mixed group about 50/50 white and black. One cute young girl there, I did 3 for $100 dances, pretty tame. I might drop in for a half hour or so but would definitely not plan to hang around for too long..aggressive dance pushing..not my cup of tea. The facilities are not very nice, but the little cabins out in the courtyard lend themselves to lots of possibilities if you happen to find an obliging dancer.

Well I'm back in the game..visited Crazy Horse this past Tuesday and had a great time. Superb bar and drinks..kinda pricey but drinks are well made and fairly strong. The dancer quality was as good as could be expected on a Tuesday night in Baton Rouge/Port Allen. Had a couple of 30 minute rooms, first was ok but the second was really good. The girls are attractive, racially diverse, white/black/asian and all good looking. Some thin, most were athletic and no real large dancers in the lineup that night. Would recommend to anyone in the area..dropped a few bucks but well worth the expenditure. The food looked pretty good, but I wasn't there for the food..met some guy who brought a friend/relative with Down Syndrome and I put $30.00 into the kitty to help the guy out, he had a blast. Good people, comfortable non-threatening atmosphere...
