Ok ive been going to zebras for a out fohr years. Ive heard about raids but never been there for one. I usually hear after a while that the story about the raid was exaggerated. The kern county sheriff's are cowboys & often harass patrons so its a good idea to dribecause safe on your way out of there.
Keep in mind it is a bikini bar, so its a bit boring if your looking for an actual strip club.
Its not the most glorious place to go (if your used to high class clubs in la or Vegas etc) but considering that there is nothing to do in the AV, its ok.
The Russians that run it are ok, they are cool to you if your cool to them. The drinks are a bit pricey considering the atmosphere but not outrageous. Id expect to pay that much if it were a nicer place. I dont drink beer but the beers are the only thing remotely resonable. They dont really have drink specials, they call certain drinks on special but it never changes & they never offer different specials on different drinks.

The lap dances are way too expensive in my opinion. Ive been to various nude clubs that have much more liberal 'rules' on do's & dont's in the lap dance area & they still charge less for dances. Plus the 'private' dance area is far from private!!! You sit in the center of the club with these sheer curtains pulled back for all to see! The girls are very 'business' minded, some are cool but most cant wait to get whatever you came to tip & then milk the next guy dry!!!

As a regular most of the girls speak & are cool to me but its clear if im not her regular that tips the hell out of her its a quick hi then bye. Most of the girls are attractive although some are not. Some have the mommy pouch but most are in decent shape. In comparison to the better clubs ive been to (nude clubs) the girls here are average dancers, nothing extraordinary or over the top memorable as far as dancing, but they stick their ass in your face for a dollar so i guess its ok.
The girls are obviously told to pump up liquor sales because they constantly ask you to buy them drinks. Most of the girls try to be sweet about it but are rather transparent about it.
The dj isnt very good but what does it really matter? No one came to dance but to watch girls dance, right? Honestly itunes on random could do a better job than the dj but who cares the song gets played. The girls choose their song & he plays it. He doesnt really introduce them or pump the crowd up or interact with the patrons like bigger clubs but who cares. Theres pu$$y on stage & that's all that really matters in the end right?
Not much touching not much interaction in that way from the girls but it is what it is. Some nights they hide in the dressing room most of the night because no one is tipping them, & unless they 'know' you, they dont have very pleasent attitudes. But i guess thats understandable if they cant keep the lights & gas on if you dont get enough of a hard on to keep tipping her? But the worse their attitudes the less tips so its kind of a self fullfilling prophecy? Anyway if they were better dancers & actually knew how to engage men instead of just bend over infront of them they wouldnt have that problem!
The final say:
There are alot of negatives about zebras, but there are positives too. The patio although not glamorous or relaxing is a decent kick back spot to drink a few & smoke out with friends especially if you dont feel like going straight home after getting drunk elsewhere (which i highly recommend) or whatever. They usually have more girls any given night than snookys & are cheaper on drinks too! I go they a couple times a month, plenty of pool tables, you never have to wait for a open table. Plus they have a tournament on sundays.
The service is ok
Depending on which bar tender is there you can get a decent drink. If the bar tender is any one of the females its going to be watered down to sh*t! The older russain guy makes the best, but maybe thats because ive been going forever & they hook me up? Dont know dont feel like i get special treatment.

The manager is a real prick!! The Russians are real cool but theres a white guy manager that will practically sit in the lap dance area with you as you get a dance. He comes in & out every ten seconds asking you what your doing no matter what your doing! Hes way too pushy & harassing! Hes a real gerk to tbe girls too! Seen him talk to them like sh*t infront of customers alot . He tried kickinv me out once for not spending more at the bar, the owner the russains let me stay.
In the end its a cool place to hang out sometimes. Dont have high expectations but if you go on a decent nighg, friday or Saturday, sometimes on Thursday youll have fun.
