Masks dont prevent facial recognition unless your entire face is covered. Where I work we are required to stop at a screen that scans our face and gives the results of your temperature reading. It is designed to register who you are with the mask on. I assume it's getting the info from the structure of your eyes, eyebrows, forehead etc. This was taken from the photos on our employee badges There needs to be about 3ft of distance between the employee and the camera.
