- Not a good experience at allreview comment7 years agoI'll just stick to the West Palm Beach clubs. Like I said, if they had told me this before I paid my admission into the club, I would have had no issue buying an overpriced water. However, I'm not gonna buy anything after paying my admission if a "rule" is brought to my attention long after I paid my admission. It just goes against simple principle. When you factor in the girls sucked that night and one of them had a piss-poor attitude, there really was no incentive to buy anything after paying the admission at that point. There are many clubs A LOT better than Porthole Pub, so I'll just stay away from there moving forward.
- Not a good experience at allreview comment7 years agoI understand where you guys are coming from. Like I said, it's a business and they want you to spend money. However, I can't convince myself into buying drinks when a drink minimum is thrown in my face out of nowhere after being there for like an hour. Heck, i thought it was a one-drink minimum when talking to the bouncer until the manager communicated to me that it was a two-drink minimum. While it isn't likely, what's stopping a place from enforcing a three-drink minimum or hell, just making you constantly order drinks as long as you're sitting there if the place happens to be slow? If the manager is a dick, he can do this at any point in time, and who's stopping him? It just all depends on your experiences at strip clubs. At the clubs I frequent throughout Palm Beach County, in Tampa and even Cocoa Beach, there really is no drink requirement enforced. I've noticed in Broward County that they're stricter on the drink requirement (probably same owners with same management/policies) and I'd assume it's the same way in Dade County.
