Summary: Hong Kong is the place to go if you have any lesbian fantasies and using the vans makes the trip back across the border shorter and more relaxing.
So was back in San Diego on business so headed to Tijuana again to try out Hong Kong. Getting there was easy and has been well described so not going to cover it again. I was not charged a cover charge. Drink prices were not that bad for a strip club -- $4 for tequila or bottled water (that they let you open so you know it is not a refill). The basic process has also been well described -- you can sit with a girl if you buy her a drink ($7 I think), half an hour runs $60 plus or minus $10, room runs about $20 by the time you tip.
However there are a couple of aspects that have not been covered that I think are worth mentioning. First, just sitting with a girl will give you more action than you get at most US strip clubs. Free roaming is not only allowed but encouraged for the duration of the drink, which is usually 5 minutes, so I look at it as really good, really cheap lap dance.
Also, if lesbian action is your thing, this is the place for you. After asking and waiting about 30 minutes, a $10 tip to what seemed to be a waiter supervisor got the shaving cream show started about 20 minutes later. It was worth the wait. One dollar tips got you intimate access to either girl and a close up view of explicit lesbian action. Seemed that the girls will keep going as long as you keep feeding them singles. I spent about $40 over 45 minutes but you get porn film action the entire time. The girls even took requests on positions, actions, etc. The waiter even offered to let me get on stage with them. Not sure what that actually entailed but the waiters are constantly taking pictures and I prefer my privacy so I did not ask for any details.
Finally, a tip on the trip back. When my cab pulled up to the crossing, my taxi driver looked at the line and suggested a van would be a faster alternative. For $5 you buy a seat in a van so you get to sit in the shade (or heat) instead of standing in line. The vans are already in line so you don't really drive anywhere you just sit in the van as it crawls forward. When it gets to the border, you exit the van and go inside to a short line inside the border patrol building, go thru the usual process, and exit just like you stood in line. It cut my wait time from what I guess would have been 2-3 hours to just under an hour and you get to sit down and relax for 45 minutes of that hour. The taxi driver hooked me up with a van bundler who was standing by the taxi drop off location but now that I know where to go, I would just walk down the lane and talk to the guy in front of the van closest to the border. For the first time, I recommend asking your driver to hook you up when you pull up.
