Thanks guys. Yeah, I thought about talking to a manager, but decided to stay more low key. And yeah, the dancer was gone by the time I got back to my seat. I would've dumped her anyway, she wasn't exactly my type. She jumped on my lap without asking if it was OK to join me or what not, right before the waitress brought me my change. The waitress incident was a few months ago, not sure if she's there anymore. Just wanted to make sure I warned other guys to watch out. It seemed like an organized thing those two were doing.
The review is from a mid-August visit, all was well on my last visit, no unpleasantness (but I did have exact $5 for the waitress, and $1 tip after she brought me my drink).
Just gotta watch out. They probably get away with crap like that when guys are buzzed and might not notice.

Yeah, girls are getting a bit crazy with prices. Good move on asking the price before going in the back. I normally turn down anything over $30. You definitely should've posted the name of the girl that gave you an air dance. It won't get her in any trouble with the law and would give us a heads up.

@Club_Goer - I understand it fine, I mostly included it so out-of-town visitors or first-timers won't be surprised. It's similar to the clubs that might have "free admission" but then have so many "drinks minimum" (or paid admission and a number of drinks you are required to buy).

@Meat72 - Summer said she was getting a "normal" job, and will be dancing on some Saturdays only. Not sure if it happened yet.

Why not ask the girl you like yourself? It's not like a bar scene - you are not gonna get shut down by a hottie. I always just come up to a girl I like and ask her for a dance. Works every time unless she has someone already waiting for her in the VIP area.
Also if you really don't want to ask, just tip the girl a dollar or two while she's on stage. She'll know you are interested and will likely ask you after her stage if you want a dance. Or else will at least say thank you for the tip, which could be your opening to talk to her/ask her for a dance.

Thanks for the reviews. I always just ask a girl I liked for dance. Tip her while she is on stage, and ask her for a dance while she's picking up your tip. It's not bar scene, you are not going to get shut down. Of course if you like a girl to come over, sit down and talk to you first, such approach doesn't work. I'm not there for a conversation - I'm either watching stage dances or getting lap dances.

Hey feargus, just because you are clueless, doesn't mean something isn't true. I'd been getting $20 dances at both Lake City Vu and Rick's for years. Most girls would do just as good of a dance for $20 as they would for $30, though there were a couple that refused to do $20 dances, and there were a couple that clearly did worse dances at the $20 area.
It's a moot point now since at least Lake City Vu no longer has $20 dances at all. I haven't been to Rick's for a while since their dancer variety wasn't great under the new ownership, but I am guessing they probably cancelled $20 dances as well (since they are owned by Lake City Vu).
Next time why don't you go ahead and try something before flagging a review and calling it BS. Or better yet, get a clue.
