Going down hill
I was in Sacramento last weekend and decided to check it out Sunday around 11 pm. I still had a free admission card from my last visit, which meant paying a $10 entertainment fee instead of the usual $20 cover charge. Upon entry I noticed there were only 5 dancers working and roughly 10 customers. I wasn't expecting much as it was a Sunday night, so I grabbed a $5 bottled water and a seat off to the side to check out the show hoping there would be some dancers I would recognize from my prior visits. As mentioned in a prior review, they have replaced the cloth chairs with new vinyl ones. The new chairs are smaller in width and uncomfortable. They have also removed all the chairs and tables that used to be on the far side of the stage facing the bar and entrance. That side has only a couple of large velvet covered couches now with a huge open floor space between them and the stage. Not sure what the point of that was, besides cutting back the amount of open seats to make them look busier. The only option for sitting at a table now is either on the front side of the stage with your back to the bar or on each end of the stage. They have also added a small low walled area in the corner taking up floor space that is for the balloon pop that the waitress / bartenders do ( I guess it's a Deja Vu thing if you want to waste your cash ).. Of the five dancers that were working one was maybe a 5 and the rest would qualify as 2-3s. Besides the furniture changes they seemed to have lost the few good looking dancers that used to work there. There slogan for the night should had been changed from "1000 girls and 3 ugly ones" to be "5 girls working and all ugly ones". I left after 15 min to to look for a better place to spend my money.
A fresh coat of paint, but still room for improvement.
Since my last review the club has taken steps to improve its decor and a slew of new and younger dancers have appeared. The first thing that struck me when I first entered the club was the changes made on the main stage room of the club. They have remodeled the lounge area to the side of the club, and they have also brought in a number of new chairs surround a number of new small, circular tables. Unfortunately, they did not upgrade the broke down couches in the back room which was my main complaint when it came to the furniture. Also, if this kind of thing matters to people, I have noticed the club is more active when updating their social media and they have also been more active of late on Snapchat. If you have the Snapchat app you can get a nice glimpse of the girls in action and showing a little T'n'A. Also, I heard one of the new deals being offered at the front counter where a customer can pay $110.00 upfront and get back $100.00 in "blue cash" ,which are slips of papers about the size of regular dollars that can be used in the machines in the back, and a "Get In Totally Free" card. What makes the card different from the ads they run in Sacramento News and Review or the VIP card is that the card they give you with the deal is actually a free admission card and you don't have to pay $10.00 for an entertainment fee. That actually makes the deal worth it, as long as you are interested in spending money in the back. The blue cash seems to be distributed in increments of 20, and I haven't heard of an expiration date. The next major change is that a lot of the dancers, at least when I have come in the past couple of times, are mostly new, or at least new to this particular club. Another thing I have noticed is that a larger percentage of the dancers are now black, but slimmer and more taut-bodied than the black dancers you are more likely to see at a more urban club. A lot of the new girls are fairly attractive and can be curt or courteous. They'll be friendly until you indicate that you are not interested, in which case they will promptly stand up and leave. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's better than being an unwanted clinger, but I wish they weren't so quick from going to smiles one second to stone-faced the next. Honestly, if some of these girls applied a little more charm they might even be able to change a couple minds, and knowing how to take a no with a little more cheerfulness isn't just good customer service, but it helps with the fantasy atmosphere that a strip club really is all about. One of the newer girls who I have only seen a couple of times there is a slim, short, white girl whose dancer name starts with the 6th letter of the alphabet. Apparently she's been dancing for a couple of months now, but her schedule is irregular though when she is there it is mainly on the weekends. Watching her dance on stage her skills are not the greatest, but I could tell she's a little heartbreaker. She knows how to work the guys standing on stage and she's also not afraid to bounce from customer to customer and interact with people. Another thing she does is that instead of immediately detaching from customers that say no she will actually smile at them and wish them a good time. I took her to the back for a couch dance and she did very well. She's slim, blonde, with blue eyes, and she had a cute, pert butt and pert, natural B-cup breasts with pale, pink nipples. The two main reasons I prefer Deja Vu a little bit over Goldclub Centerfolds, is that the girls at Deja Vu are typically less "sharkey" and I prefer slim, white girls with cute faces and normal-sized natural breasts, and Deja Vu seems to always have at least 1 or 2 dancers that fit the bill when I come. Mileage was pretty good and she didn't mind roaming hands, but as good a dance as it was she still could give off somewhat cold, professional vibes. Maybe I'm spoiled, but my ATF had the amazing ability of making me suspend my disbelief at times and think, "Maybe this girl actually really likes me?" Again, not the best dance, but pretty good and her positivity and cute, college sweetheart face made it worth it, in my opinion. Overall, it was a pretty good visit. The atmosphere seems to have improved a bit and the clientele seems to have grown somewhat, though I'm not privy to the financials to confirm my observations. The one thing I really wish they would do is replace the broke down couches in the back, and maybe wash the pillows and bedding for the beds more frequently because I can smell dried sweat on occasion. That said, improvements have been made and the girls are relatively friendly and nice to look at, so I must give them credit for that. I still rate Deja Vu the best overall strip club in Sacramento with the best overall value, and still my go to strip club for the time being.
Overall Pretty Good
This was my 2nd visit to a strip club in Sacramento, with my first being gold club centerfolds. First off I will mention parking wasn't an issue and area felt safe. Bouncers were nice and cover fee was $19, a weird number but around the standard. Drinks are gotten from a restaurant style soda machine, and I believe refills were free so thats nice. Club was clean, well lit and had good seating, especially if you dont wanna sit at the stage. club had a more older clientele base. music was primarily hip hop, and a good mix of it. DJ was good and relatively quiet. Next up, the dancers. A mixed bag really, multiple ethnicities, almost equal among hispanic, white, and black the night I went. Two bombshells, but one of them was rather stuck up, and had a lot of other male attention so i lost interest in getting a dance with her. The other, a beautiful brunette, chatted me up for a good half an hour and was very polite and girl next door type. Rest of the girls were nice in their approach and conversation, though i did overhear one girl talking about how cheap some guys were there tonight and how she only cared about money, and that was a little off-putting. Club was great on prices. I got a lap dance from aformentioned brunette for $10, because it was apparently at a discount for that half hour or something. Private dance area could certainly be more private, but she gave a great dance that was well worth 10 dollars. dances are normally $20 I believe, but at 10 dollars you can get a few great dances for much less than other clubs. I got a few other dances from a few other girls but they were pretty boring and standard and not really worth it. All in all, would I reccomend this club? If you want a safe, rather mundane time with you and a group of friends that would be relatively inexpensive, I would say yes. If you want super hot girls that give amazing lap dances, I would look elsewhere. I would personally give this club one more shot, as two of the girls were absolutely amazing and the smaller decor allowed for more approaches from girls. And there aren't many options for strip clubs in sacramento lol.
