Expensive and vague pricing for unexceptional experience
Bad Angel is in the center of Munich, not far from the main train station. It's surrounded by lots of hotels and a ton of kebab places. I visited about 9:30pm on a Wednesday, which I wouldn't do again. There was a 10E cover (about $12 USD). On entry you go immediately down some stairs to the club. It was small, with one round stage set up with seats around it. There was a bar with about a half dozen stools. The club was dim, decorated with lots of red, and was generally in good shape.
There were about a dozen women there, not all obvious at the start (possibly they were still getting ready when I first arrived). I was the only customer there, which was very awkward. A small bottle of Coke at the bar was 9E.
Dancers performed on stage despite the lack of customers. There was no pole work, but the dancing was good. Dancers got topless on stage. A few pulled their panties partly down at the very end of their performances.
The dancers were all dressed in cocktail dresses. They looked good, but more than half had fake boobs. A couple were very pretty, and they were all fit, and were mostly slender (though not skinny). The ones I talked to were from Romania, Ukraine, Italy, and Czech Republic. All had decent to very good English.
The dancers were pretty pushy, and mostly tried to sell bottles of champagne. One suggested a 100E bottle to share at the bar. Others said a bottle was 350E for an hour. It was very unclear what the dancers expected for themselves on top of that. I kept pressing to try and figure it out, but the dancers wouldn't just come out and say what they wanted. They sort of implied that the bottle covered their time, and suggested they'd appreciate "tips". The concerted vagueness was irritating. The high pressure might have been worse because I was the only one there.
After turning down the bottles, some dancers offered private dances for 60E for five-ten minutes, again being vague about the timing. I went back with a couple of dancers and had a couple of songs worth of time for the price. The booths were private, with a padded bench. The dances were mostly air, but with a nice striptease. It wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't particularly entertaining or worth the cost.
One pair of dancers offered to share a bottle price, rather than doubling it. When I turned that down, they offered to give me a ten minute "preview" for 60E for the two of them. That dance had more contact than the previous one but was still fairly tame. The women also pestered for tips throughout and kept intimating that things would be "taken care of" (brush of the pants) but without being explicit nor even being clear on how much they wanted for that kind of an upgrade.
Bad Angel was a nice enough club. If I hadn't been the only customer in the place, I might have hung out at the bar a bit longer watching the stage. But the dances weren't remotely worth it. I imagine a better experience is possible with a bunch of money, but I can't guess how much that would be because the only thing with a clear price in the place was my expensive Coke. I don't think I'd return, though maybe it would be more fun at a busier time.
