HQ KONY Gentlemen's Club

I came to HQ Kony at around 10pm on a Monday night. There were about 15 girls working, hanging out by the bar. There was an “open area” where the girls were hanging out, near the bar with a number of comfy chairs out in the open. The girls were not tremendously attractive. After I ordered a beer, I was approached by a couple of girls and chatted with them. One of them invited me to get a “semi-private” room with an open door without much supervision. It cost $100 so I took her up on it. At this point she suggested that everything was on the table, as long as I was willing to spend for it. Her suggestion was $1000 for a BJ. This was too rich for my blood so I wound up engaging her for a number of lap dances at $100 every 15 minutes. I didn’t consider this particularly worthwhile and my sense was that the lap dancer was mainly hoping to hook me into a very sweet deal. After calling it quits with the dancer, I went back out in the dance floor but didn’t see anyone who really tickled my fancy. I wound up,calling it a fairly night, around 11pm.

Surprised there’s no reviews of this place so I’ll give it a go. Came here on a Sat night after an early music show and was already a bit lit. Arrived shortly after opening so there was no cover - but no one in the place either. You walk up a staircase and it’s a nice looking club but it was empty, as in I was the only person there. I don’t believe there was a stage either, it’s just the bar and a bunch of couches, and then a private area for the vip dances. After a few minutes, the bartender, a cute Latina, shows up apologizing for being late and makes my drinks while we have some pleasant chitchat. Drinks were expensive (Manhattan pricing) but that wasn’t surprising. After about a half hour, the girls start to come in. The first one to approach is a Venezuelan with a nice body but she must have been over 50 yrs old. Anyway, she grabs my pole and starts massaging me and telling me all the things she’ll do to me either here tonight or at my place tomorrow morning. I’m sure with the right level of alcohol and desperation I’d have gone for it but as it was still early I decided to pass - but man was it hard for her to get the message. Then, I notice a couple of young college age cuties are sitting at my left. So here I am alone in the club w 4 women, 3 very young, hot, and stand offish, and one old one who just won’t leave me alone. Ain’t that always the way? A few customers trickle in and they’re going to show the Jake Paul fight but the place is a little too quiet for me to wait that long so I decided to use the men’s and then leave. I get up from the bar and BOOM the hottest young thing with glasses - a sexier version of the girl with glasses from WKRP, intercepts me, grabs my Johnson and leads me over to the couch. She tells me her pricing but is very firm that there might be some extras but not ALL the extras. Since I know I’m heading to Dallas in a few weeks my brain tells me just save up my dough for where it will go the farthest, but this hottie rubbing my pants keeps me from thinking clearly and I agree to 4 dances in the private room, $100 to the club and $150 to her. Dances were ok and I left wondering what having $7 or $800 to throw around in here would get you. One final note; there’s another club right adjacent to this one (downstairs) and they told me it’s a “lap dance experience with different rules” meaning, I’m sure, more strict than HQ.

I'm writing this review to confirm this is even a strip club. I entered on a Thursday evening around 9pm. There was a patdown but no id screen and no cover charge. The lounge is up some stairs and leads to a well lit open area with the bar on the left and couches on the right. There were 4 patrons and one lady in a bikini chatting with one of them. I bought a beer for $8 and waited 20 minutes but no one even looked up. During that time one other lady arrived and went straight to the back but didn't come out in the 20 minutes I waited. There were no poles or as I said even a mention of dancing. I left after that to go to Flashdancers midtown which was a short walk away

I actually meant to head to Rosewood Theatre which is right next door but there was a line and the bouncer mentioned they were having a private event. Having no idea there was another club next door, I asked the bouncer of HQ Kony what the deal was and he said I should head up. No cover and I walked upstairs to a bar with a series of couches off on the side. There was no stage I could see. Inside was a bartender, a group of 10-12 Hispanic women in tight dresses, and 2-3 older guys who seemed like they worked there or were regulars. The lights were bright for a strip club. I pulled up to the bar and ordered a drink which was $22. One of the Hispanic girls sat next to me and gave me the rundown but I had trouble understanding her with her accent and the loud music. Between being the only real customer, the noise, and then lack of stage dancing I finished my drink quick and headed for the door. No knock on the place- looks like it has potential and the dancers were so-so but i wasn’t motivated to get a lap dance in a bright room with everyone watching. The neighborhood seemed so-so safe, some luxury residences nearby but also some shady characters.

Had a great time but be prepared to spend a lot - like a lot

Fun location that is more of a private dance place than a strip club.
