Went here with some friends for a bachelor party. Very nice girls who are legitimately amateurs. They tell some pretty funny backstories that are total nonsense though. Had a girl tell me she was here from Spain but a mutual friend was there so that story fell apart pretty quickly. Still was a nice experience, mostly with girls standing around and clubgoers standing around too, more of a conversational environment. Decent bar but usual NYC prices for drinks. Lapdances were in large back room where you see everyone next to you so not a private setup but lap dances themselves were good for NYC.

I was disappointed with people not reviewing this club/privately organized party. I posted a few comments in the past, but I think I should write a full scale descriptive review. Signup on their page and they send you weekly invites (intially it might be after 2-3 weeks, in the club they have someone with a tablet moving around). You need to show the email on phone to get entry. Entry is 50 bucks - on the extreme end (for which they provide midnight pizza). Bar exists unlike some other byob private parties. Dances are standard 20 each, with close 2 way contact. Organization: Organized as a private event in Park Slope or Midtown. It has the vibe of how your friends would organize a party with strippers with some decorum. It starts queuing up outside around 9 or something, so better go late. Most people that come are groups of professionals. SVT says they are not geared towards younger ppl, but I didn’t find any PL over 40. Mostly mid tiered finance and IT professionals -good mix even in groups, you might see 1 white, 1 asian, 1 indian and 1 AA and 1 hispanic. I am making it up but it’s pretty well balanced. No suits, whales or sharks, something that keeps the atmosphere friendly and even among PLs and strippers alike. There’s a backroom with shared couches around for LDs. Girls: Mostly mid 20s, semi professional girls. Generally over 8, mostly white and eastern european and a few latinas. Didn’t see any AA or asians (i saw 1 asian during multiple visits, I distinctly remember because one of the groups which had an asian dude egged him on to talk to her and he joked if he wanted to take dances from an asian he would rather find them in China). Half of the girls are from far off places, have waitressing or bartending jobs. Half of them are students studying humanities, marketing etc. I even found some sweet girl doing masters in music who sort of broke my thighs. Untold rules: Its nearly impossible to get OTC. Its also not feasible to get extras because the backroom is shared dance area. Its ymmv, but these rules simplify your evening. I asked a few girls how they found the place etc but got no clear information. YMMV: General practice is the girls approach you and spend some time talking at the bar or front room. There’s low pressure to get a dance immediately. The girls call the shots and may refuse dancing if they feel uncomfortable during the dance. Lapdances are 2 way contact and increase in intensity as they progress. Most girls would undress over 2 songs, so assume them as foreplay. After that...girls are generally accomodating of light kissing and squueezing there boobs and nipples and so on. FIV may not be allowed. I prefer to keep it dignified. YMMV extremely. In my personal experience 50% of the girls were extremely nice and had good experience. One of the gorgeous ones whom I called dibs on immediately as she arrived, danced with closed eyes and orgasmed midway after 5 intimate dances and had to stop. I had to go to the restroom to calm myself down and ..... She wasn’t comfortable dancing for me the entire night after that, but still quite friendly. I never saw her again. I believe we fell in love and she quit stripping for me :) Long Con: There is no stage dancing. As above the idea is you and the girl are going to build a chemistry and go long like with a girlfriend. 5 dances with the same girl are average. Some may go up to 10-12 dances. I saw many dudes hugging and chugging for more than 2-3 songs at a time. I assume thats how they might have sex with their girlfriend, notwithstanding the physics of it. Other Cons: Girls change. Some girls dancing may lack any standards whatsoever. The place is good for newbies especially because the rules are lax than regular club and they might be interested more in the dancing and not care about the stage. The vibe is friendly, you don’t have bouncers or bathroom trolls. But its an expensive affair.

This is a roaming loctionn. Different locations every night and you have to be on the email list to get he info and show the bouncer your email to get in. Last time I went was on a Thursday with a friend. We employ different tactics. He goes and approaches girls while I am more patient. Either way works. You can hang and have drinks while mingling. Some girls might quickly try and get you to go to the back and get a lap dance. Others are more friendly and chat with you until you make the move, or they move on if you don’t. Once in the back, it’s open format. No high dividers or private rooms. Probably room for about 30-40 people. Which is plenty of space. When this place was on it was on. As other reviewers say it’s more of a mixer than typical strip club (no stage). There is a girl for you there. You just have to hop around until you connect with one, then you go to the back for a lap dance, or 5. That’s why it’s like a mixer. All types of girls there in terms of ethnicities. There are definitely 9s there but the average is a 7. It’s all about connecting. Find a girl and hang with her for a while. $20 lap dances isn’t bad especially for NYC. Hope it comes back soon.

i've heard from various channels that this place has been open and shut due to raids and such. anyway my review is from a visit about a year or two ago. this place is the perfect example of why the underground strip club scene is really in the shitter. cover is 40 bucks (now i heard 50). girls don't give good grinds, no make out sessions. god forbid if i should want to let willie come out for some air. him and i will be properly escorted out of said UNDERGROUND CLUB!!! yeah you get girls most guys want to get their hands on-college co-eds. but here's the situation: if these co-eds aren't willing to comply with what i want then those co-eds are useless. they are just eye candy. i can see eye candy for free, and not have to pay 40-50 to get in for that shit. going back in time those familiar with the nyc underground will, like i, fondly remember the red door events, tina's, hot lap dance club, etc. those were true underground events-not this shit that is around presently )SVT, LIDO, etc). and if anything i don't hold it against the girls for being do nothing pieces of shit. i hold it against the customers. the guys who keep patronizing these places and get nothing for their hard earned cash. i know-it's their money and isn't any of my business how they spend their money. but if these fuckers would revolt, hold out and get stuff like what we lurkers demand then just maybe one of the present day underground joints will transform into something from the glory days of underground.

This place is great. The dancers are all super hot and friendly and there's no pressure to get dances. It's $50 cover to get in and the lap dances are $20/song, which is pretty standard for a strip club. It gets pretty busy but there are a lot girls working. They don't have the "stripper" look and usually are dressed pretty classy, which I actually like because it leaves some room to the imagination. I always feel comfortable here, the staff are all very nice and accommodating. Drink prices are pretty steep I will say, but hey you're not a regular bar. The past month I've been there when the cops shut it down and I've had friends tell me they experienced the same thing recently. I heard they are closed this week also and I'm not sure what's going on as of right now but would be great if they opened again. All in all a great experience.

It's been a while since I went to SVT, I liked the new friday spot at Korea town. In the dance area, they got these one person sofas without arm rests, so you get that nice upclose face to face lap dance. Small mingling area, but I don't care much for that. Once in a while you get some LFK, but you can NOT count on it, like it was in the years past that I remember. Dancers are nice, not too many eastern euro girls that most stripclubs have. White girls seem to be the majority and tend to be more American type than foreign. A few Asian and Latinas too all very westernized attitudes. I don't understand why some guys want those newbie girls, but I tend to like the girls that can grind well regardless how long they've worked at svt.

If you are looking for the hottest group of babes assembled in 1 strip club - this is it. When I went a couple of months ago, it was located in the Meatpacking district. in some neutral venue. Like many places, there are different types of girls to choose from. But the majority are skinny, blonde, natural tits and hot hot hot. Exactly the type I fantasize about and wack-off to. I was so fucking pleased. I only went once, and I went right after it opened at 7:00 PM. Was not crowded at all then but, it was real early. There was a bar with $18.00 cocktails. But before I was ripped off into purchasing one (thankfully), a super smiley, friendly and hot babe come over to lure me into he world. Before she could ask for a drink, I asked her if we could do a dance. She, of course, said sure right away. So we went down to the basement and sat on couches. There was one other gut getting a dance on another couch when I was there. She started dancing in front of me with her top on. And before I knew it, the song was over. I don't know how long it was, but it was the shortest song I ever remember from a strip joint. So not a damned thing happened and I had just blown $20 for shit (+ the $50 entrance fee). I realized if I was going to wet my underwear, I had to get aggressive. So I bought another dance and asked her to sit on my rod and take off her top. She did and that was good, but she was barely grinding. Obviously, the management schools them into going real slow so you godda blow thru 4 or 5 dances before you can blow your top. That's the great problem with SVS - if you wanna shoot a load, especially if you want to try it with multiple dancers, it is so damned expensive. Definitely worth the visit, but way too much to become a regular.

So this is how it works. You have to be on their email list. Every Wed/Thurs/Fri they are at a different location. $50 cover to get in. The girls are all next-door types, and long conversations are encouraged. it's pretty much the opposite of a strip club mentality . The drinks are about $15-$20 each. The lap dances are done in a VERY public, crowded room upstairs (at least where I was). No set price, you negotiate with the girl. Absolutely no way there could be extras here, I don't think. It's a huge cover, and very pricey, but the girls are amazing. Down to earth, non-"stripper" looks. If you like white American girls, you won't find more in NYC.

I had been a regular at the Saint Venus Theater (SVT) for many years. They had a good run for about 7 years. Their height was in 2015 when they had a great venue on Lexington Avenue across from Grand Central Station. They started to go downhill in January 2017, and finally closed up in July 2017. The concept of the roving or pop-up strip club is really cool. A good feature is the Girl Next Door (GND) types that you find working at these places. I still go to the more traditional gentlemen's clubs when I am on a business expense account or when I prefer a private room experience. I am glad to see that New York City still has a few of these nontraditional strip clubs operating. The most popular one being the Lido Room.

My last visit to SVT was on a Friday night almost 2 years ago. The location was in a rundown nightclub in the Financial District, near City Hall and Tribeca. There was an entrance at street level, and after you paid your $50 entrance fee, you walked down the stairs to the main Room. The Main Room by the bar was packed with a lot of guys who appeared to be mainly late 20's and 30's, dressed in suits, and mostly in the financial industry. The place was packed to the point of being uncomfortable. The ratio of male customers to female dancers was high and it became competitive to find a dancer. Some guys would wait by the exit from the semi-private lap dance area to find a dancer as she was leaving. The girls were mostly in their 20's, thin, white and attractive. There was a large bar to one side of the room. Drinks were expensive. One customer was complaining that the mixed drinks were watered down. SVT has been closed now for over one year, and there is no indication that it will ever come back.
