Not bad. Not great. Just okay.
I was traveling through Beaumont on a Saturday night and had just an hour to stop by Temptations for the first time. Based on the low scores on the appearance of this place, I was expecting a dump. And from the outside it kinda seems that way, but inside it actually wasn’t a dump. You pay a cover when you walk in ($10 on this Saturday night). And then the club appears to be one big room with a bar running down the right side. A single stage is in the middle of the floor. There are small tables with cushioned chairs all around the stage. And there are some taller “booths” of some sort along the back wall. Maybe that’s where dances are done? Didn’t get a dance so not sure. The place seems to be as clean as most clubs. Again, not a dump but certainly not the nicest club ever. There were about a dozen dancers at 8:00 on Saturday. All white from what I could see, other than one black dancer that sat and talked with me for a while. She was very friendly and pretty attractive. She said dancers are 3 for $100, so certainly not a huge value or anything. And a private room is available she said. I think she said it was $200 or $300 for that, but I’m not sure how long that’s for. No idea what kind of mileage you get here. There were not about 15-20 customers there at 8:00 so dancers were approaching anyone with a pulse to try to get dances. Each dancer was taking turns doing two dances on stage, with the second dance being topless. For the hour I was there the dancers on stage were all pretty average in looks. Though there was one stunning brunette that was a ten in my books. Basically this place was okay. Not great. Not terrible. I had a Dos Equis ($9) and had to hit the road so I wasn’t there beyond an hour. The dancer that talked with me said they get very busy after about 10:00 on Saturday nights, so it would be interesting to see it then.
So you want a reason to go to Beaumont?
If you've been sent to work in Beaumont, you gotta wonder what else there is to do in town. Answer: not much. But this club helps. Gave it a try on a weekday night, arriving around ten o'clock. The club is located on a large street with a big well-lit sign so easy to find at night. Not so easy: the 'front' door is in the back. Yes, you enter from the back. And the back parking lot is one big, dirty, pitted, unlit circle so drive carefully. You pull in on the side of the building and there is additional parking to the side. Might try that next time. There was a group hanging outside smoking by the back door. Not the friendliest group of people, so two strikes before I entered the club. Cover was only $4 so better there. Inside, it's the normal club scene but large. Lots of small covered tables around the main stage, bar to the back, and lap dances over to the sides. Mixed drinks were oddly $4.06, just over four dollars. I had plenty of visitors and service. My requests for privacy were well received, but others kept asking. The right girls were first Peri and then Mason. Wow. Total knockouts. Most if not all of the girls there were good looking, of various races and ages. There was a second stage off to the side but it was never used. Lap dances performed over to the side. They charged the usual twenty dollars a dance, even when later I heard the DJ announce ten dollar lap dances were over in ten minutes. A hundred dollars would get you dances on the far more private side of the room and three hundred dollars was for VIP time. I heard the same quotes from several women. It was a good club, surprisingly large and well-stocked, comparing well to a lot of Houston clubs. Recommended.
