Worth a Visit
I was in Huntsville for a business trip and selected this club, out of the few in the area, to visit. I went on Thursday night, February 2, 2017 and arrived around 11:00 PM. Being that it was night made it difficult to get a feel for the general area, but I got the notion that it was in some sort of commercial or industrial park. The club was basically right off the main road and parking was easy. The attendant gave me a full TSA-like pat down. A wand would be better in my book. I asked if there was a cover, and he said $5. Sure enough, upon entry there’s a young lady asking for $5. I give her a $20 and she proceeds to count off my change in $1 bills. I think clubs should ask if you want your change this way just in case you had enough ones when you walked in, which in this case I did. She accommodated my request and I was on my way in. A nice touch was that you could purchase a beer right there instead of at one of the bars inside. Prices were reasonable for strip club. I paid around $5 for a Michelob Ultra.
The club to me seems pretty simple. There’s a large, main stage in the center of the room you walk into. To the left of the stage is a small, full service bar. The bartender that night was attractive, and there were bartenders walking the floor to serve patrons around the stage and along the walls. Surrounding the outer walls are places to sit. There are, of course, seats around the main stage. The best way to describe the stage is that it’s shaped like a barbell. That is, there are two area on either end connected by a small runway. The ends are octagonal shaped. I’d estimate the total stage length to be around 40 feet long. To the left just beyond the bar is the men’s room. Immediately as you enter and up on a small stage is the DJ. He played mostly OK, non-offensive music. Just an opinion, I think that this type of music lends itself to more patrons as well as spending customers. The hippity-hop music played all the time in some clubs is good at times but not always. It also lends itself to a younger crowd that often doesn’t spend money. Those are dancer’s words, not mine.
There is an upper level area with some couches and what appeared to be a smaller bar area. I think this is where the private rooms were, as a few patrons went towards that area. I didn’t partake so I can’t comment on it. This is a club that does the dancer parade and offers 2-for-1 dances, or whatever promotion at the time. I literally had just been there for 5 minutes before this parade started. I counted around 18 dancers.
Dancer quality was pretty good. Dancers were mostly white with a few AA and Hispanic dancers sprinkled in. There was literally something for everybody. There was even a girl with the jet black hair and the whole ‘emo’ look going on. She wasn’t there for long as dancers were coming and going throughout the night. Two very tall, I’m talking 5’10” plus, dancers caught a lot of people’s eyes. One of them had black hair and a large tattoo on her right hip and leg area. She looked Hispanic and had a smoking hot body, but it seemed like she was going through the motions and a private dance wouldn’t be fun. The other dancer was a lighter brunette. She had tattoos on her upper chest and arms. She was definitely more entertaining and also put on a good stage show. I can’t remember her name, but seeing someone that tall on a pole is a sight to see. Maybe it’s the difference compared to the usual shorter dancers, but her motions were more fluid. One other dancer caught my eye. She was a shorter blonde, zero tattoos, fairly large breasts. Dance sets were two songs long. All but one dancer was topless during the second song. The lone holdout didn’t take off her top.
Overall, I had a good time. I would recommend to folks travelling to Huntsville. There was little pressure and the sights were definitely OK.
