And if you get a DUI in the U.S. you are banned from entering Canada. It’s considered a felony regardless of how it was charged here

How it goes in most Canadian provinces 0.04-0.05, depending on province, will get you the provincial ticket. Your car impounded for the night and blah blah blah. 0.08 and above becomes a federal criminal offence. That one comes with bigger fines, possible jail time, etc.
