I know they overhauled the laced and brought Vegas (and Rachel's) people to manage, but this I have to see in writing.

As a whole, Vegas clubs are dead. Tourism is down and prices are astronomical. Seems like a mistake to bring the Vegas crew there while the Vegas club is dead.

anyone remember All Stars? it was near DD. but supposedly dancers drink free... open till 4 am, so pompano clubs closed and it filled up with dancers,

The Hippo girl, American too. Who i met just before grand opening, Said at the hippo, dances are 3 min 30 seconds long or so? and you have to get dressed and back or pay for second dancer, (dancer) is that their business model? oh and she left hippo cuz no money there, now at DD, so you see a pretty American blonde, day shift, that's my friend.

I’d be OK with the Pompano Hippo if they brought the Vegas - quality strippers along with the Vegas business model. The “look but don’t touch” model works with smoking hot LA / Vegas supermodels, but when I was at the Hippo it was the same old Pompano triangle skanks who only look good on their backs or knees.

Clubs aren't cool anymore and there's really only enough in Vegas customers at a given time for a few clubs these days. Rhino just wins because it's the most popular along with a few of the others that are a little unqiue and manage to keep some regulars.

And it's wild the hippo manager didn't know this, how can you not if you work in the industry?

Nine years ago when Solid Gold/Pure Platinum were finally displaced from their longtime locations closer to Ft. Lauderdale, the Solid Gold team took over this location. At that time I wrote in a review "can something aspiring to be this upscale survive in Pompano"? Because in their old haunts those clubs indeed cultivated a "more elegant" (for this market) Gentleman's Club image. But "that was then" and dependent largely on the owner's personality and rep. Here and now, however, well yeah, that advance team checking out the Triangle were not wrong on what the market expects in this Area Code. I suppose they are trying to see if there is interest in something like that in this region, but IMO things are nowhere close to where they were 20 years ago when it comes to there being a large enough upscale market demand, and the location doesn't help. (And yeah, the Vegas model is not necessarily replicable everywhere)

Agreed. Pompano is not upscale by any stretch of the imagination. Rachel’s works as an upscale club in West Palm because of the wealthy older crowd in Jupiter and Palm Beach, and E11even works as an upscale nightclub in Miami because of its party / tourist attraction, but Pompano clubs will always be known for being where you go for reasonably priced extras, not faux sophistication.

My friends went last night, OTC is on the menu. Some rapper? x69? was there, again, as a customer. I don't know him
