The most recent episode of "Lethally Blonde" (S2 E7), Holly Madison's series on ID, dealt with the case of Jaren Lockhart. Young Mom stripper at Temptations (located on Bourbon Street where 327 is now) in 2012. Stripper name wasn't mentioned. On a slow night she was lured by an offer for a "party" by a couple which included a wannabe stripper. Jaren was never to be seen again, alive. Cautionary tale, anyone familiar with it?
Episode name is Burlesque and Blood.

I remember the Jaren Lockhart murder well. It was huge news in New Orleans in the summer of 2012 and of course sensationalized because the victim was a stripper. From what I recall, they cut up her body and threw the parts into the ocean off of a pier in Mississippi. The killers were dumb thinking the body parts would never wash ashore. The killers removed Jaren's tattoos and hands to try to avoid identification. I don't think her hands or feet were ever found. It was very sad because Jaren left behind a young daughter.
@sinclair that's a very accurate description of the aftermath. Family had a beef with the reporting. Stripper, exotic dancer, burlesque dancer were the terms used. Little mention of working mom with young child.
@sinclair was there a motive established- did they just seek out a random sex worker to attack, or was she a rob of some sort who tried swindling or robbing them?
@rickthehick the former. I don't want to reveal more of the motive in case someone wants to watch it. Scumbags went to the club seeking a victim. Chilling. Cautionary tale for a sex worker.
