AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said it was investigating a double homicide that occurred outside of a strip club in northeast Austin overnight.
According to TCSO, deputies responded to the parking lot outside of Bare Cabaret, located at 9705 block of Reservoir Ct., around 4 a.m. Sunday.
TCSO said deputies found a chaotic scene upon arrival, with over 400 people in the parking lot outside of the club. Bare Cabaret is advertised as an “after hours” spot that is typically open from midnight until 6 a.m. on weekends.
Two people died following the incident. Their identities have not yet been released, but TCSO said one was a man in his 20s and the other was a woman who later died at the hospital.
The scene is expected to be active for several hours as investigators work. TCSO said one person was detained, but no arrests have been made.
