Going to be doing a day trip to Providence in a few days and was thinking of swinging by for a bit. Does anyone know what the bag policy is? I assume they don't allow any bags in the club itself, but is there anywhere I'd be able to store or check my bag while I'm inside (like at the front desk)? Or will I have to try and find somewhere else to store my stuff before I go to the club
Won't have a car, so I wouldn't be able to keep my stuff there

You'd probably have to call. There's a metal detector on the way in, but that's for wallets and keys. I've never heard of anyone bringing a bag, but it makes sense if you're from out of town and don't have a car.
Yeah that makes sense. Have a few days before I'm gonna go, so hopefully I can get some answers before then. If not, I'll just call the day of
Try this. Use google gemini AI, and give it a prompt like the following:
act as an expert in travel in providence. i will be travelling with a suitcase, and will need a place to store it for a few hours, during the day, near 2 Globe St Providence, RI.
give me some creative ideas.
Ask me any clarifying questions.
The results are impressive. There are apps that you can use just for the purpose of storing a bag.
It says to try gyms like Planet Fitness, but I know the Planet Fitness near there and the lockers are too small. I also know the people that work there don't make much money, so for a $10-20 tip they might watch it for the day.
It also recommends that you do that at a hotel like Aloft nearby, where you just walk up and pretend you're staying there, but tip the people $10-20 to watch the bag. Pretty streetwise for AI.
Some other good ideas there, too. ANother implication is that if you tip the front door guy at Desire $10-20, he might watch it.
a friend of mine had a bag one time he couldn't bring in the club and we had ubered. Security held it for him at their desk and he got it back when we left. Tip the guy.
Oh nice, will definitely try to do that then. Thanks for the info!
I should say this was during the day and it wasn't busy. YMMV if you go at a busier time.
That's fine. Most likely I'll go sometime during the afternoon
Papa Bear is correct. They will hold it for you at the front desk. Tipping. I would tip the guy as I would a valet; $5 when they take it, $5 when you get it back.
Thanks for the confirmation. Gonna let y'all know how it goes if I do end up swinging by
Thanks to everyone for the info! I ended up getting there around mid-afternoon and the bouncer let me keep my bag on the floor behind him, free of charge (although I made sure to tip him obviously).
Went to Foxy afterwards and the same thing happened. The bouncer at Cadillac also offered to do the same, but by that point I'd missed the cutoff for free cover and didn't feel like paying the $10 to get in so I just left
@TickleToots how about a quick review of the place?
@Bostonasp69 Definitely plan on doing one for this and Foxy, but it'll have to wait until after I'm home from my vacation later this week. Gonna try to get them done by next weekend
@Bostonasp69 Both the reviews are now up on my profile!
