RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Reno strip club.
At around 1:20 a.m. on May 10, officers with the Reno Police Department were called to the Peppermint Hippo on Telegraph Street for a reported shooting.
When they arrived, officers found at least one victim in the entryway of the club suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Police also learned that a security officer had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, with one being in critical condition.
Then, in the early afternoon hours of Wednesday, officers with the Sparks Police Department responded to a call for service in the area of El Rancho Drive regarding a domestic dispute.
Two people involved in that incident were identified as the suspected shooter and his girlfriend, who was identified as a person of interest in the investigation.
Police say Samuel East was taken into custody in connection with the incident, and that he and his girlfriend admitted to their involvement in the shooting.
East is now facing two counts of battery with the use of a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, domestic battery, false imprisonment, as well as an additional warrant.
