CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is facing charges in connection with a shooting at a nightclub in south Charlotte early Sunday morning.
Chaundres Moore, 22, is accused of shooting a man inside Club Onyx on Old Pineville Road. According to an incident report, the shooting happened just before 4 a.m. on May 10. The victim suffered serious injuries, police say.
Moore is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault wit ha deadly weapon with intent to kill in the case. He's being held without bond in the Mecklenburg County jail, records show. He's scheduled to appear in court again on June 2.
This weekend's incident was at least the second shooting at the club in recent months. A man was arrested in December after investigators said he pulled a gun on security for refusing to leave when the club closed for the night.
Club Onyx has been linked to numerous police calls over the years, including a parking lot shooting last September.
To have the shooter actually get the gun inside should get the doorman fired.
