ORLANDO, Fla. — Three people were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at an Orlando nightclub on Wednesday morning.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. at Le Palace nightclub.
Deputies said a man shot two men in their 20s. A security guard who witnessed the shooting returned fire, striking the suspect.
The suspect and the two victims were all transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to OCSO.
Surveillance video captured the sound of gunfire erupting outside the adult entertainment club. A nearby resident, who asked not to be identified, said she and her mother heard the chaos unfold.
Deputies said another person who was in the suspect’s car fled the scene but was later arrested.
"It was really loud, so I got really scared and everything because we could hear people screaming and all that," she said.
WESH 2 has reported on previous shootings at Le Palace over the years. Some residents living near the club expressed concerns about the ongoing violence.
"You never know when they could just randomly be close to our house, and the bullets could go through our house or something like that, and it could kill one of us," one resident said.
Details about what caused the shooting were not revealed.
