Last night was our first night in Medellin Colombia, arriving late from Bogota due to problems with the aircraft. Had a great time in Bogota the one night we were there. Flew into Bogota first, because it was much cheaper than flying directly into Medellin.
Went to a couple of the nicer bars, also known as shark ponds. We were chum. Beautiful women, but very aggressive. Drinks were expensive, especially for the girls.
We ended up picking up a couple of street girls. They were okay, but just okay. They were supposed to spend the rest of the night, but bailed after a few hours. Neither my buddy nor I were disappointed that they decided to leave early.
We have planned to return to Bogota at the end of the week for a few days. Might be a dull or expensive rest of the week in Medellin.
I hope to provide some detailed reviews upon my return, assuming that I survive. Medellin is no place for minnows.

You’re doing it wrong if you’re saying to avoid Medellin
It’s on a top 5 list of cities outside of NA I would live in Sydney Barcelona Paris Buenos Aires And then probably Medellin
To LIVE in the city, yes, it would be excellent. Very vibrant and interesting. However, compared to other places and focusing strictly on the SC scene, I have had better and given a choice for clubs, Bogata is the better choice. Of course YMMV

Where did you get the SGs from @PutaTester? Never been there but have heard you can pick one up on the streets where the big nightclubs are, or Downtown.
There are two parks where they hang out. Lleras Park and Botero Plaza. There are also some bars/clubs in that area.
I might have to take back SOME of my criticisms about Medellin. The problem is that we only had the information found on the Internet. There are some clubs in that area that have no Internet presence. When I get home next month, I hope that I can do a few write ups for this forum, including an article (not a discussion) on the street scene.
If you search YouTube for Parque Lleras Nightlife, there are some decent videos available.
