This used to be the greatest eye candy strip club in Atlanta. Now it's just another hood club.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A person was shot multiple times at a Midtown Atlanta strip club overnight, according to police.

The incident happened at the Cheetah Lounge off Spring Street at around 12:55 a.m. An officer said two men got into an argument over a woman inside the club, leading to the shooting.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he is expected to recover.

The club is closed as police investigate. Police have not announced any arrests or charges.

The biggest reason clubs are unsafe is that so many PLs think "wow, this club scans IDs and has pat downs and metal detectors, they must get a lot of thugs in here".

It's also not easy to hire actual good bouncers. Guys who aren't afraid to beat the shit out of somebody, but avoid doing so unless there's no alternative. Clubs save money by hiring the fatest bouncer they can find. Ones who would have an immediate heart attack if they bent down to check for an ankle holster.
