AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — Five people, including four teenagers, were arrested early Friday morning following a robbery in a gentlemen’s club parking lot, Akron police reported.
Officers were called to the Peppermint Hippo on the 1000 block of East Waterloo Road around 3:30 a.m. for reports two women had been approached by a group of males and robbed of their purses and other items from their car
Upon arrival, Akron police learned one of the males had a firearm and had surrounded their vehicle in the parking lot.
Police canvassing the area for suspects. One suspect was found on South Arlington
Road with some of the women’s items, according to Akron police. Four other people were arrested after they were seen running into an apartment building at the 900 block of Barbara Avenue.
Akron police said five males, ages 15, 16, 16, 17 and 33, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The teens are being held at Summit County Juvenile Detention Center while the adult is at Summit County Jail.
