Ford is claiming they will reduce their profit margin to partially offset the tariff costs. I'm not sure if the estimates given assume the manufactures will pass on the full cost of the tariffs.

Car sales always fascinate me and I follow them closely. March and April were banner months for dealer as sales were robust for both new and used vehicles. Now dealers fear that those great sales will spoil summer sales and it will be bad months June thru August.

The hottest market right now is certified preowned. Most new vehicles are too expensive with high interest rates and many people are afraid to buy used because of uncertainly. Therefore buyers are turning to certified preowned which most vehicles have warranties, but inventory is thin on these vehicles.

One brand that is kicking ass in the new segment? Kia. Buyers are loving Kia because of their good pricing, edgy styling and great technology all at an affordable price. I guess people forget that their engines blow up after a few years but hey maybe they’v fixed that now.

I never liked Kia. They're not stylish to me. They're also targeted quite often for theft. I think in the 2022 models they fixed that issue with immobilizers but someone could still vandalize your car trying to unsuccessfully steal it. Some major car insurance companies (including mine) won't even cover certain Kia and Hyundai models specifically for this reason for anything 2011-2021. Better options out there imo.

As a skier in a cold climate the only choice is Subaru. My last 440,000 miles of driving has been in one.

I found it very interesting what the laid off workers at the Pennsylvania Mack truck plant that got closed said. They didn't ask for tariffs against Mexico. They said they wanted a living wage for manufacturing workers that was the same in Mexico as in the US. True free market solution.

^Every worker said that or after 5 hours fake left-wing news found one person to say it? Sure sounds like a UAW worker, worrying about the Mexicans lol.
