The Republicans have been pretty quiet on here lately. Assuming it's from the embarrassment of voting for all of the obvious failures of the Trump administration. You are excited about higher prices and bare shelves in stores due to Trump's obvious tariff failures right?
What is there to discuss? The market(s), the dollar, and the treasury are doing the discussion regarding the economy. Ukraine /Russia hasn’t changed, even with the oh so powerful and keen negotiation tactics of this VERY seasoned administration. Immigration, no problem….until you fuck up and look terrible in the eyes of the Constitution. But you know, a couple of mistakes is worth it for the cause right? Just throw money at it. Attack the judiciary? Sure, why not. There’s nothing to discuss, Trump supporters think he’s doing great, and the rest of us think he’s….well, Hegsething things up.

There are plausible counter claims that retailers like Target and Walmart are exaggerating about empty shelves to influence Trump. They like to buy products from China because they can sell at a huge profit margin, and still undercut products made in the US or friendlier countries. If we really have become that dependent on hostile dictatorship like China, the Congress should cut off the pensions of every former President back to Clinton. Trump is using trade barriers too crudely, and with too little warning to allow supply chains to adapt. But I'm not convinced high tariffs on just China are going to be a huge calamity for the people in general.
