If Trump pardons anyone who assaulted a police officer on Jan 6, that will push Republicans in Congress from purple districts to start opposing him.

Any mass arrests (of people legally in the US) by Trump will be laughed out of court like his election denier lawsuits. If he tries to suspend Habeas Corpus, there will be a fast court injunction restoring it.

Maybe Biden will pardon Clinton and Pence to not securing classified documents. Then resign on Jan 19 to get himself pardoned by Harris.
