DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A man was hospitalized after security guards at a Dallas strip club opened fire on him when he allegedly tried to drive into them.
Arturo Calvillo-Guzman, 22, was taken to the hospital after the incident happened at Pandora's Men's Club at 10649 Harry Hines Boulevard.
Investigators believe that Calvillo-Guzman and several others got into a fight with staff members at the club and were asked to leave. The altercation turned physical with the bouncers as they were being escorted out, and uniformed security guards took them to their vehicles.
Calvillo-Guzman left the club, but returned about 15 minutes later and drove directly at the guards who had escorted him away earlier. The guards fired their guns at Calvillo-Guzman and struck him. His passenger in the front seat was uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing.

My experience has been that bouncers ITC don't carry weapons but most door guards do.

I guess I’m not experienced. not that I checked but I don’t think I’ve ever noticed any security at the door or in the club carrying a gun.

Maybe I only go to relatively “safe clubs” but I haven’t noticed armed security - but doesn’t at all surprise me

At night many clubs in Atlanta have guys in tactical gear with intimidating weapons.

I used to hit this dive in the 2000s when I lived in Dallas - it's a BYOB dive and back then it was mostly Mexican custies and dancers with a few white and a few AA both dancers and custies - the club was a bit rough around the edges - it's a good sized club and had a handful of bouncers inside and a few security-guys outside manning the door.
I was last at this club in September 2018 and only had a short visit but this time around seemed most of the dancers were Cubanas - I didn't stay long enough in that 2018 visit to gauge whether the custies were also now Cuban.
