The news story does not stipulate when this incident at Tycoon's occurred. Also, the suspect was not apprehended. So, in theory, it could be the same person who drove his truck into the Kalamazoo strip club. That suspect was apprehended.
If it is indeed the same suspect, then I expect there might be some kind of religious motive to save the world of sinners from seeing scantily clad women.
