RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The woman who died after a shooting early Sunday near the Reno-Tahoe International Airport has been identified as 30-year-old Karysma Jenkins.
The Reno Police Department said the shooting happened just before 4 a.m. in the 1000 block of Telegraph Street outside of the Peppermint Hippo.
Several people were in a vehicle when a man approached and fired several shots into it, striking three people.
Police found the victims at about 3:55 a.m. at the Renown Regional Medical Center emergency room. Jenkins died and two others had injuries described as non-life-threatening. Investigators told KOLO 8 News Now that Jenkins was struck in the chest and abdomen, and that she may not have been the intended target.
