This is a small black club a couple of blocks down the street from Tootsies - for w/e reason this club has had more issues than all the other black clubs in SoFlo even though the club is a bit more upscale than other black clubs - I haven't been to this club much over the years bc it was more of a party-club but in years past one thing that would catch my eye was the high # of very-fancy cars driven by young kinda hood-looking guys - the club had been kinda quiet incidents-wise as of late but over-the-years there have been multiple shootings and murders - I get the sense it may be gang-related

"high # of very-fancy cars driven by young kinda hood-looking guys"

The first thing that comes to mind is gangs and drugs. That would be the easiest explanation for guys in that demographic driving cars in that price range. It also seems too easy. There are plenty of guys in that demographic who work good jobs and make good coin, but then stupidly slide into that culture when off the clock. They make their bed, they can lie in it.

    Follow up info:

The club had just updated its Instagram page with a video of rapper Lubaby4X entering the club. Instagram account advertisements said Lubaby4X was performing live at the club’s “big birthday bash” for stripper “da1uniqueeee,” but considering the timing of his entrance and the shooting, he probably didn’t get to start his show.

What Gamma said. About 10 years ago we had a young Black engineer that seemed very serious about his career. One day he did not show up. He had been arrested as a shooter in a gang-related murder. Turns out after work he went and hung out with his gang from when he was in high school. He had left town to go to school, but when he came back to ATL he fell right back in with his gang friends.

Engineering is a "need" career. You get so many options and it is virtually recession-proof. That's a damned shame. Proof that textbook intelligence doesn't translate into street smarts.
