That's fucked up - 3 thugs violently attacking a 19 y/o kid - seems it happened outside the club so I don't necessarily hold the club accountable; it's the thugs that are accountable.
This is a reminder of the kinda human-trash present in many if not most strip clubs.
I agree - it’s fucked up. This was a bad situation that was made worse, and resulted in the death of a young man. In my view, there are still many holes in the story.
Yeah, there's a lot of missing information in this story.
It says he was "escorted" from the club, the altercation was witnessed by club staff, and afterward security remained with the victim while the 3 guys were allowed back inside. Kinda sounds like security sanctioned the beat-down or, at least, stood by and let it happen.
Also, why would he run off after it's over? You'd think he would want to call the cops or file some kind of complaint with management, but he just takes off and is then found dead two days later. If the 3 guys were back inside, security presumably remained at work, and the kid ran away, maybe his death was totally unrelated. It is the outskirts of Atlantic City, after all. A beaten-up drunk teenager, stumbling down some back road late at night - anything could have happened to him.
Could be the kid was a jerk and had an ass-kicking coming to him, but if security was involved I can see how there is some culpability there. Also it says the guy arrived "with his friends" so where were they while all this went down, in the back getting BJs?
Strip club staff - managers and bouncers - are not good sources of reliable information.
The video likely offers a reliable view of a point in time - so the beat down is likely documented. The events leading up to - and after - are where things are very sketchy.
If a friend of mine was bounced from a strip club, I’d make sure he was safe. I know usually the best thing is to get a guy away from a strip club, as nothing good occurs in a club parking lot. The last thing I would do is see a ruckus outside, involving my buddy, and just go back inside the club.
So the club checked his ID and saw that he was under 21 but still let him in and served him alcohol? Around here any club that allows 18-20 year old customers is strictly no alcohol in the club and anyplace that sells alcohol is 21+. Do the clubs in NJ that sell alcohol allow 18-20 year olds in and if so do they do any type of wristband or hand stamp to differentiate who is over 21 versus under the way some regular nightclubs or live music venues do around here?
I would love to know what they mean when they say he was "escorted out of the club." Does that mean a bouncer kicked him out because he caused a problem in the club or did he ask security to escort him to his car because the three other guys were threatening him inside the club?
Why did the club let the three assailants back into the club after the staff saw them assault the victim?
The story said that the club knew the victim "and his friends" were underage because they were carded when they entered. Where the he'll were his "friends" while he got his ass beat and while he was running away afterwards.
There's a lot of unanswered questions about this situation, but if the club did in fact serve alcohol to minors (despite seeing IDs that showed them to be under 21) and the club knowingly let 3 people back in after employees watched them brutally beat a teenager right outside, then the club deserves to be shut down.
When I read the headlines I interpreted it the wrong way. I thought the club was honoring a long time regular. I actually knew of a club that held a “funeral” for a long time regular
They are also assuming the ID he presented said he was 19 and did not say he was a 24 year old guy named Gunther. Fake ID's are incredibly easy to get these days.
Any loss of life like this is senseless but seldom are the victims angels in these situations. The whole story won't come out for a while. And clubs are negligent like this when they're trying to hide their shady shit

No one deserves to get beaten to death especially when it's 3 grown men vs a teenager.
Is this an 18-and-over club?
