Club Discussion Boards

Anyone miss this feature on TUSCL? I liked posting news stories to the specific club discussion board so if I wanted to find them later it was easy to pull up. Also noticed there was some discussion activity on the Columbia Platinum Plus board. Also good for discussion on specific dancers or specific promotions the club was having without having to post a new review each time.

I had just started to use it with my favorite club, La Chambre, and thought it could replace the posting of short comments I do on another site, or imitate it. Kind of the Twitter of [view link]. Nobody else was getting into it on that club page, though. Is it gone for good or just down for an adjustment?

In the early years of TUSCL there was a feature called club chat. There was a lot of postings on it but it was mostly anonymous. Few had registered names and it became a pissing match between some gangsta wannabes. Then it got changes to club discussion board and only for registered members. It really never took off. As samsung noted Platinum Plus was one of the more active ones but it really never took off again. For it to work you need a bunch of guys that call a club their favorite and take the time to read it and respond to it. The interest just isn't there. I personally will miss it but the slack will be taken up by PMs.

Actually, I think it might be more utilized if there was a way to mark clubs of interest, and be notified of posts to those clubs' boards.

GMD: Excellent idea! Actually, it'd be great to receive notification of new posts to your favorite clubs (perhaps one would "subcribe to update notification"). I waste time when I get on TUSCL (which is now limited to maybe 2 or 3 times a week), going to each of the clubs that I'm interested in, and checking to see if there are new updates. If I were notified, I would only check the reviews when I KNEW there was a new one pasted.

I just went out and looked at the review page for a club that I frequent. I was afraid that you were referring to the discussion boad on that page... sure enough it is gone. Count me among those that miss that feature. Admittedly, it doesn't appeat to have been used much, with the clubs I check on having "recent posts" MANY months ago, BUT it was very nice to have the ability to communicate to others familiar with that club. It would be a shame if this feature is permanently gone! Another "feature" that I notice has disappeared. Until recently, on the discussion page, the info that was shown for the person that posted the topic included the number of their posts. Now, it still shows review count and club count, but no longer can you see how many posts this user has contributed. Anyone else miss that? I do!

Yeah. It wasn't used very much, but seemed to slowly be gaining momentum since the recent change where the comments were visible from the main club page. It's good to know that it hasn't been removed permanently.

Good to hear that, Founder. Sometimes one may have something to say or add that does not quite rate a full review or equivalent.

Tried to use 'em a few times, for that club-specific type of discussion that they seem designed for. Didn't get much reply or interest. I even went so far as, to send private-messages to a few of the people who had reviewed the club in question, or who lived in the city of that club, to try to get their input, but still, no takers. So, the discussion wasn't lively. But it could be such a useful resource. Reviewers of specific clubs could respond to one another without having to clutter the "general" discussion board (this one!). I really want some pointers on my favorite clubs -- which girls, which nights, who is where when, etc.. I think the reason I'm not getting answers, is NEITHER because nobody knows the answers NOR because the people who do know the answers would still prefer not to share them. Rather, I think it's just because people don't find it "easy" to use the club-specific boards. (Yet.) I think part of the problem, was simply that they were hard to find and harder to navigate. If there were a dual-column format, or some other arrangement by which "club chat" (a.k.a. club discussion boards) was directly accessed from "main" pages, rather than being accessed only after about six or eight layers of drill-down, then there's be more participants. So, I'm hopeful that they're being revamped, since they're really what this TUSCL thing is ALL about -- gentlemen respectfully sharing useful information about our mutual obsessions and addictions in a free and supportive atmosphere. :) Seriously, I'm glad they'll be worked on. If it doesn't work out, or if it becomes too much effort? Hey, thanks for trying, no big deal, and THANKS AGAIN for all the effort being put into making TUSCL ever better and better. Probably the best internet resource at all, that offers information about the real-world adult industry: more accurate and reliable than any other review-site, and more national (global!) in scope (hence, more useful to more people; AND, more likely to attract greater critical mass of participants who submit reviews) in comparison to any other site, whether the other site offers reviews of strip-clubs, or of escorts, massage parlors, etc.. Best of all of 'em! :)
