The Return

I returned to Tijuana / Zona Norte area at the end of February 2022. My last visit was back in December 2019. This was my 7th trip. I don't consider myself a rookie. But, I am in no way an expert. I know some Spanish vocabulary but my grammar is terrible. Thankfully most of the areas I visit speak English. I would post this on the strip club review page but I didn't feel I had enough content to post there. I made three errors on this trip that I would not repeat. Overall I had a good trip. I flew into San Diego.

I took the Bus 992 line to America Plaza. I bought a ticket for the trolley to San Ysidro for $2.50. While purchasing a ticket, a young guy came up to me asking me for money for a ticket. I hate people who beg. He put me on the spot. I had a $5 bill I put into the ticket dispenser. I couldn't very well lie and say I didn't have money. He didn't appear threatening. But, I thought well this sucks. What do I do? I went ahead and bit the bullet. I gave him my change and got away from him as soon as possible. This was the first time I had been approched like this here. His reaction stunned me. Instead of saying thank you. He laughed and said "What the fuck?" Here I am trying to be cool and helpful.

I told myself never again will I give in to a beggar. I saw him later on the trolley. I have no idea where he was going. He didn't appear homeless but who knows?

Mistake #1 Giving money to that young man.

I made my way to the San Ysidro border crossing. I got took for $35 for the Mexican Visa. I was honest and told the immigration person where I was headed. I think if you tell them you live in Mexico they wave you through. I heard the I am going to the dentist reason doesn't work.

Mistake#2 Overpaying for a taxi. A taxi from the border to Zona Norte should only cost $5-$10. I am embarrassed that I paid more, But, I just wanted to get to the HK club.

I try to take advantage of the HK shuttle service whenever possible.

Mistake#3 I essentially spent my trip with the same girl. I paid for her time up front. She was cool. In the future, I will not do that. I will pay as I go so I can have more freedom.

Also, without fail, I receive the request for money text from the girls I see in TJ upon my return home.

I don't pay. I did once but stopped doing that.

This past trip I wasted a lot of money. But, I learned what not to do. Also, spend some time with a girl before heading up to Ariba.

Chemistry goes along way for a better time.
