Classic style burlesque vs. The VIP/champagne room lap/couch dancing to understand the difference between artistic expression in the ecdysiastic entertainment experience.

I am definitely an unusual and unique person in pretty much every single aspect but I'm extremely happy with being a certified exhibitionist who was born with a terminal case of happy feet and I never want to be cured of it! I was very fortunate to have seen two very amazing performances in the really classic style of burlesque done by one of the pioneers in this real art form, Ann Corio that was on the fledgling pay channel HBO put out in the late 70s. 'This is Burlesque' and 'This was Burlesque' with a few solo performers and a large chorus line of dancers who were doing choreographed synchronized performances with a few of the baggy pants comics that did short comic skits and the chorus line dancers would be in those skits for the T & A factor. The solo performers would do something different in their routines to set themselves apart from everyone else such as tassels on their boobs or a fire show and I got my snake show idea from one of those dancers. The show was ON STAGE and the focus was on the dancer with no contact or the lap type of dancing at all. I was extremely fortunate to have learned the ropes in a nightclub with a gigantic stage to move around and the usual feature type of shows....generally 15 to 20 minutes and starting out fully dressed then gradually stripping down to whatever the local laws and regulations would allow. My very first boss was a super strict and very vigilant eye on everything with mirrors everywhere that allowed her to see the entire crowd and she was extremely careful to not let her girls break the rules and risk losing her liquor license in my repressive uptight conservative hometown so I never really had a chance to do those contact type of dancing until I started doing the nightclub circuit travel dates. We kept the show on the stage and had plenty of couples that were regular patrons who were more inclined to be okay with that than if they were coming in the lap dance clubs. We were fully clothed on the floor to sit with the patrons for cocktails and conversations so we were forced to use our personality and intelligence to keep the audience interested in us beyond our stage performance. I had an extensive education at being different and original in the extra stuff I could do on stage and NEVER ever thought about just phoning in my show without doing the other things that KEPT the crowd coming back for more. I did the fire shows and the thigh high stockings sort, the erotic sensual stuff, various characters that had specific music and costumes that were chosen by me and definitely were a huge part of my stage shows. I would introduce comic style bits to bring smiles to the female audience especially when they looked like they weren't there by choice and they would almost always break a smile and come up to tell me they were really enjoying my shows because they could see the difference
