IDs

I have recently had the experience of being asked by the "greeter" for a couple of SCs for my identification before entering. This has been at a couple of NYC SCs. The guy said it was to check that I met the age requirements for the place, but no one could possibly mistake me for a minor. I am usually quite circumspect but am embarrassed to say I let him see my drivers license. Would be interested in other patron's experience especially any problems.
