MSG to SC Owners - more private room options pls!

This is an article aimed at the management teams of the SCs. Although it would be great to hear from SC customers and dancers too.
I saw a news article that stated that lots of SCs around the USA are closing down because business is slow. The article blamed it on young men being more interested in video games etc than women at SCs. Maybe its also less “socially acceptable” among younger men; IDK know I’m a Gen-X’er, older half.
But it could also be that the SCs are just not innovating, keeping up with changing expectations and tastes. We are all used to most kinds of purchases being easier and more transparent now. AFAIK, SC’s haven’t changed a damn thing in 30 years!!
I don’t know exactly what SCs should try changing or that every club should change a lot. But in general, maybe owners should experiment with different tweaks.
Here is one area that could definitely be improved upon - Private rooms.
Anytime I go to a SC, my basic goal is to find a great dancer that I connect with and get a private room. I have a decent amount of experience with private rooms at many different SCs in NYC, TX, FL, Vegas, and other cities. Been going to SCs for over 20 years. That’s the basis for these suggestions.
Some changes could allow clubs and dancers to make more money and more customers to enjoy them more often.
#1 is that private roos should available in different blocks of time. Like a choice of 20, 40, 60 minute blocks or 30 & 60. With larger blocks costing less per minute.
Example: Old Flashdancers in NYC was my regular club. It only offered 60 minutes for $550ish. I started exploring new options and found Rick’s, which offers 30 & 60 minute options, which is great!
I think a 60 minute/$600 cost boxes out a lot of potential new and regular customers. It’s lot of money and time and how’s the guy supposed to know if it’ll be “worth it”. For any guy, that’s a big chunk of change and more for many, it may make it a non-starter. Even if a guy would spend $600 for a known good product, usually he won’t know. Even if he knows one dancer is good, that high commitment could prevent other dancers from getting in on the cashflow.
If the SC allowed guys to try 30 minutes for $200-$300, how many more guys do you think would try? And what % of them might become life-time private room users? What % might become regulars ot semi-regulars over that lifetime? I think way more, and the total $ spent would be way higher.
Maybe the club could make it a goal to have the Private Room as full as possible as many minutes as possible. If its done right, maybe the private room will be full almost all the time.
But I don’t know for sure. Some SCs would have to experiment with it, then word would probably get around. For all I know, this has been tried many times and has failed already.
PS. New Flashdancers - please try this.
