A dollar earned

I work hard for my money. I don't take what isn't mine and I don't steal from anyone. I make an honest days pay and bust my butt to make it. That being said, I like to treat myself every so often to remind myself that I'm not just working to pay bills but to live and enjoy living while I can.
So when a stripper comes to me and ask for a tip after her stage set, I'm usually nice and just give a buck even if I didn't like or didn't even pay attention to her dance. But that got old real fast. After a whie girl I hadn't even seen walking by, start to ask for a tip and I know they haven't been on stage. I caught on to it and started politely telling them no thank you. That's when it got ugly. The attitudes changed dramatically.
I thought that maybe it was just that particular club, but when I went to other clubs tree same scenario occurred with nearly Identical results every time. That's when I stopped being generous with my tips.
Just because they are pretty and are getting naked doesn't mean that they are entitled to a tip. I'm always respectful but now it's no thanks. One dancer decided to try and embarrass me by raising her voice and insulting me to the point that the entire club was watching and even the DJ lowered the music to listen. The "Entertainer" as she referred to herself and her fellow strippers, went on a rant about them not being naked for free and how I should at least tip them if I'm not doing champagne rooms or lapdances with them.
I politely responded, I would gladly tip her when she actually attempted to do her job, which is what she had just stated was to entertain. Since everyone was listening, I let it be known, that I like most of the customers there work very hard for my dollars. So I expect the same from them. If I saw someone actually dance then I would tip her. She called me cheap, so I grabbed a $100 bill and said, "The first girl to do a pole trick right now on stage I'll give this to them." The girl on stage at the time, jumped up the pole and hung upside down. I walked up to the stage gave her the $100. Turned around and said "That's entertainment!" Paid my tab, tipped my waitress $20 for my 2 beers and left. And I stopped going to that club for a month. When I did return, every girl that went on stage, actually danced.
The waitress told me that after I left that day, many of the customers started to do the same. So the girls actually started entertaining. Guys we work hard for our money, so don't feel obligated to give these girls something for nothing. You work for it, stop should they.
