Roxy's Showclub-Brooklyn, IL 8/11/2012

I decided to venture over to Brooklyn for the first time since there was a murder in the parking lot where Roxy's is located about a month ago. For those of you not familiar with the STL strip club scene, a couple of the PT's-owned clubs have the parking lot attendants cook up barbecue on the weekends, and apparently on one of the weekends around the 4th of July one of the attendant's was shot and killed while on barbecue duty, and no witnesses are talking or deliberately lying to the police about what they did/did not see, and business has taken a dive since then according to some of the dancers I talked to Saturday night. There were not the usual bachelor party busses coming over from Missouri for the obligatory trip to Brooklyn, so it should have been set up for a good night for the customers, but that was not the case. Every dancer I talked to bitched that they weren't making any money and the lack of customers wasn't helping. I talked to one dancer, but I couldn't bring myself to do a private with her-no chemistry of any kind. Then I saw a medium sized dancer with short blonde hair who I decided was going to be my private for the night there. She eventually got called up to one of the stages, I went up and introduced myself to her, and after her 3 song set, went in the private booths in the back. A Benjamin for the 3 songs, and another Benjamin for the Brooklyn handshake, and so on from there. After a Benjamin and a nice tip on top, I left. The management of this place and its sister club across the street, PT's Brooklyn, to put it bluntly have to do something to improve the dancer quality and get this murder solved quickly before patrons simply decide Brooklyn is a no go under any circumstances. You can pay the same money in Sauget/Washington Park to go in those clubs and usually not worry about safety.
