Flashdancers 2012

Stopped in for a couple of drinks, day and night shifts, at this club, where I haven't been for a while. It's pretty different than it was a decade ago, so here's an update:

The girls are spectacular, if you like (as I do) unenhanced Eastern European beauties. Many more Russians than there used to be, and fewer of about every other nationality.

Most of them are intelligent, and you can have a good time if you remember that they're working; your charm is unlikely to make them forget.

That said, the champagne rooms are priced beyond reason, $740 at night, plus, presumably, tips. It used to be about half that, and since lap dances on the floor still cost $20, it just doesn't make sense to go for the back unless you are sure you're going to get a lot of extra mileage -- or you're trying to impress the girl or you just sold a novel. There are a couple of even more expensive private VIP rooms, but I have no idea what kind of extras they provide. The longer-running one (the Blue Room) used to be $1,500 an hour, and the girl got $400 (this goes back 5 years or so), and it's probably gone up, judging from the regular rooms. By the way, at $20 per dance, you could have the girl on the floor for $400 an hour, although she'd have to go on stage from time to time.

The pizzeria upstairs is gone, there's a fancy Japanese restaurant that delivers downstairs. Dishes looked good.
