In response to Big Oil SCs in ND (Dancers making 2000+ a night)

So we've all seen the CNN article, and the other article about Northern Great Plains SCs dying out. Seems like a bit of a dichotomy.

As promised, I did make it back to Whisper's and Heartbreaker's after my disastrous first (non) visit a couple of weeks ago.

Sadly the news is generally not good.

These clubs are tiny, dingy, and the owners have absolutely no idea of the absolute GOLD MINE they're sitting on. All of the dancers are in on a weekly rotation from out of town. I met girls from Vegas, Chicago, and Dallas.

$5 cover, and approximately 10 girls working at each. The lone bright point of this situation is I saw one hard 10 and a couple of 8s. The rest was a gaggle of 4s and 5s. $20 lappers, songs from a jukebox (at least they're not cut that way), and no options for time-based dances.

Perhaps the worst of all is the dance room. It's an 8x8 room with a chair in each corner. The whole room is blocked off by a curtain, but the bouncer outside literally (I'm not shitting you) sweeps the whole thing to the side to check on the action every 30 seconds. Not a spending-friendly atmosphere. The dances are strictly one-way only.

I came with over 2k in my pocket expecting based on what we've all been hearing to be swept into a stripper wonderland with all my wildest dreams on the table. I came away with 95% of it still in my pocket, and a sad unfortunate grimace on my face. The girl I was with that night (the hard 10 from Chicago) knew all too well what I was thinking, and pretty much said "I'd be making a lot more money right now if there was a private room and you could actually touch me, wouldn't I?"

There were so many 20 something guys in there spending almost no money (and we all know they have tons) that it was sad. I don't know where these figures come from, the only thing I can think of is the girls are getting 5,10, and 20 dollar tips at the rail on busier nights.

I can't begin to tell you how let down and disappointed I am. Owners, if you're reading this, do something! I shall not return.
