Gob:. Raising from $25 to $30 is a 20% increase. What's the rate for everything else?

I'm of an age where you shouldn't trust my memory, especially regarding the good old days, but I think prices around New England went through a phase of arbitrary increases three or four years ago. Some of them backed off, and some of them stuck. What I'm noticing lately is restructuring fees to give the club a bigger share.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
Around here, you're wealthy when you buy a Mercedes so the good cars don't get wet in the winter.

Looking for the girl next door, with huge tits
Oops. (Submitted by fat fingering the text box). I live on the edge of the Boston strip club dessert, and at one point discovered that I did live pretty much next door to a Brazilian stripper. I'm not sure where the boundaries of the Boston MSA run, but the Boston strippers I know dance in Worcester and Providence. Providence has one CLUB per 28,000 residents. Boston real estate is (a) mostly zoned to exclude strip clubs, and (b) entirely priced to make them impractical.

It means she can't remember what she gave you last year, because there are nine other guys in your situation who you don't know about, who also got a monkey.

Fox:. You ask what's the difference between a lap dance and VIP. A good lap dance might be described as simulated sex, whereas a bad VIP might be described as simulated sex.

If there's only one club in your local area, perhaps you should expand your definition of "local area.". Ryan Air has flights from London to Prague starting at 21 USD. On your budget, you could do that once a month, and have what I assume would be a pretty spectacular time.

I'm not sure I understand the argument about other businesses not discounting. The time it takes to perform a dance is a perishable commodity. It's like an airline seat. If you don't sell it on time, you make zero dollars. So your bargaining power depends partly on whether somebody else is lining up to get dances from your friend. It occurs to me that there are clubs where everybody discounts on slow days. One I visit used to sell two dances for the price of one every Tuesday.
For the reasons that other posters have explained, I personally never try to negotiate discounts. Even só, I sometimes inadvertently get offered one. (When that happens, if all goes well, I pay full price. Some of my best relationships started that way.)

P S. It occurs to me that none of these lines will now work on any of the dancers who read this discussion
Sorry.

CMI is usually right, but with the right dancer the following lines have worked:
1. This is all I've got. What can we do.
2. I would like to give you X, but then I would never be able to do it again.
3. I didn't come here last week because I only had X.
But once you have paid X+50, you're kind of stuck unless you stay away for a while.

I think Meat got it exactly right. Based on the countries where I've traveled, economic inequality is way more important than total income. If you have enough rich guys and poor women, the rest is pretty much automatic. I've known dancers who started poor and became rich, and when they did, they stopped dancing, at least until the money was gone.

Get there early. If you're a dancer's third date, it's not going to be a bargain at any price.

Detroit strip clubs
I have a question for someone with local Baltimore knowledge. I gather "The Block" refers to a city block in which strip clubs are concentrated. (1) Is the concentration causing the problem? (2) Did the law enforcement and public morals types force them to concentrate? (You can see where I'm headed with this.)

Daytrader, you are the bank's favorite customer. They're making more money on that balance you carry than on any other transaction unless they're selling cocaine out of the drive-through window. Think of it as you selling a bond with an 18 percent interest rate.

They never tell you what you need to know.
I have news alerts from The New York Times, Washington Post, and Google, and I learned about the Facebook crash from Papi's post above. Just shows you need to keep up with TUSCL to stay up to date.

Logans Hard in NYC. Dreaming of Spinners Since, Well, Forever
Acela from Boston to New York is under $100, about 3.5 hours, and stops in Providence. If the timing is right, that's what I would do.

Wanna go clubbing?
I think maybe we're on to something here. I've been to strip clubs in 6 of the top 10, and I would rank them more or less in the order named, with the possible exception of Connecticut.
I've been to clubs in zero of the bottom 10. Anybody care to fill in my ignorance?

I assume the words "outside of Worcester" in the title are a typo for "about in the middle is Worcester."
