@ PhatBoy99 Long-term relationships actually come pretty natural to me, but the thought of a lifetime commitment really scares me. @ johnsnow123 Any updates? You mentioned you can't find another dancer you like. What are your options for travel and what makes this dancer so alluring to you? If you made a thread asking for club recommendations I'm sure the veterans here could find one you would really like.

I pretty much like everyone here. This place has a lot of unique characters with interesting viewpoints. I would be fine meeting with anyone, but I'm kind of shy at first and it will take a few drinks before I really loosen up and boogie.

I think we can all agree that soccer has, on average, the best-looking participants in the sporting world. Lots of stylish, well-dressed, and good-looking men, and all the kits were on point for this World Cup.

I have never tried Titled Kilt. I have tried Twin Peaks and Hooters. I prefer Hooters because I like their Daytona Wings and they have a cool retro aesthetic. Twin Peaks has a weird "sexy log cabin" look to it which I'm not a fan of, and I don't like the uniforms the girls wear there. I suppose the food is better at Twin Peaks, but Hooter's food tastes... I don't know what the best word to use is... unique?

I like poledancer83's threads, and I like her openness and honesty. I do agree that it's unwise to legislate based off of "morals" as defined by poledancer83. I think societies function best when people acknowledge human nature and pass laws that work with human nature, and remove those which work against it. I also believe that true morality cannot exist without an absolute, all-knowing, all-powerful higher being, as much as I wish that wasn't true.

I admit I have a hard time believing that someone could be a stripper for an extended period of time and not have that affect them in one way or another. I do not look down (or up) at anyone for being a dancer. I realize it can sometimes be just a J-O-B like any other, but I feel like only women of a certain temperament can really make it out successful in this industry. My former ATF kind of fits blahblahblah23's profile. Not upper class, but upper-middle and very comfortable. She doesn't have to do it, but she does it because she feels stifled by her extended family and wants her independence and her own things. That said, I don't think she quite has the right temperament for the job but she doesn't have many other opportunities where she can make what she makes in cash. I don't know. I'm not an expert.

I second marriage counseling. I don't fault you for feeling anger towards your wife for something she may not be able to really control. We like to think of ourselves as rational beings, but men are just as emotional as women it just gets directed towards anger more often than sadness. Unfortunately, if the feelings get too toxic than divorce may be an inevitability, but I do recommend counseling. @anislee How goes the search for roommates in San Diego? Honestly, I would volunteer but I don't have the type of marketable skills that let me pick up and go without first making sure I have a job waiting for me when I get there. @MisterWonderful Do you know when the shift changes occur at Hong Kong? I have read different reviews and comments that will throw out times like 5:00PM or 8:00PM or some other time. Do the dancers just get to make their own schedules and show up when they want to?

It's a matter of cleanliness and aesthetics. If the girl is clean, shaven, and doesn't have all her lips sticking out like a face hugger than I can be very fervent about giving lip service.

In my personal experience women do a much better job of empowering other women, then men do at empowering other men. I feel like men are sort of expected to be invulnerable statues. We are not expected to display weakness, hurt, or vulnerability, and when we do we are told to "man up." In essence, to keep a stiff upper lip and keep the hurt inside. Women will often rush to support heir female friends and give them a sense of community and engagement that helps them move on quicker. I feel like we need to accept human nature, understand we each have our own flaws, and empower each other. Easier said than done.

@ johnsnow123 Based off of your initial post it seems like this dancer is pretty popular. She may be satisfied with the income she bring in the club, or she is seeing clients outside of the club who offer more value to her. That she agrees to see you outside the club, but keeps blowing you off suggests she's either not interested or she's keeping you in the back burner as a secondary or maybe even tertiary option. I would recommend finding another dancer who will respect your time and effort, but if you are determined then I would recommend reading PhatBoy99's discussion on how to date/manage strippers. When I visited between Sunday and Tuesday the ethnic make up of the clientele was about 33% Asian, typically college-aged guys, 33% white, typically older, 33% Hispanic, most looked like locals, and about 1% black. The 1% that were black did not seem like they were treated any differently than the other customer. I also struck up a conversation with a black guest on the elevator ride down to the club. We sat and chatted in the hallway for a couple of minutes. It was both our first visit and I was curious where he was from and kind of trying to sneakily pick up if he posted on this site. I don't think he does. A couple of Hong Kong dancers walked by and smiled and acknowledged both of us instead of ignoring us or only acknowledging me. I think you'll be fine.
