Across the alley and up the stairs is a client casino. There is a decent fresh juice bar also on the other side of the alley. I would only recommend walking more than w blocks away in the daytime. Plaza saint Cecilia and revolucion are both 3 blocks away. Not too bad on foot. Especial and caesar's are dining destinations on the opposite spectrum of revolucion. There are lots of fantastic food and artsy destinations an uber/taxi away. Bayless, bourdain, and numerous others have episodes dedicated to TJ street food and gourmet. Take a street girl to mariscos el matseteno or las ahumaderas. Take a bar girl to mision 19.

I keep residences in cities where rent averages around $3k~6k, so cost/mileage does come into play for me. I did not bring it up since most mongers do not travel extensively so their sense of value may skew local. There are also few clubs with limited offerings where I live, so being a regular does not really appeal to me. Florida might be worth a look-see. I could totally roll with papi as out tastes do not overlap. Were people joking about Providence, Rhode Island? I could not tell. If hot young women are offer extras at great rates, I'll make a trip and review the worthy destinations.

I kept trying to identify the club where they were making it rain. Any Detroit locals recognize it? We should aim to recreate that scene next time I visit. Gotta roll 20 deep wid my Tuscl crew, tho.

Should mention another issue with being on the 7th or 8th floor is that the stairs towards the front of Cascades (northern end) only go up to the penthhouse. You will have to use the southern elevator to get to the 6th floor, then use the staircase wrapping around the elevator to get up to the 7th or 8th floors.

Not sure about the bar you mentioned. I have only been to the VIP section on the other end of the club, the side that requires a wrist band. I can say that there are indeed cameras there, as you can simply look up to see them.

This club (much like the Acropolis) is right next to a freeway. I don't mean that you take the offramp and the club is on the adjacent slip road. You're literally going like 50 or 60 mph when you turn off into the club's parking lot. So it's bound to happen.

There are two hotels right by Chicago Club. Wrapped into the alley is the old decrepit hotel that I have read nothing but bad things about on other sites. Right next door to the west of the main entrance is Hotel Jalos, which was remodeled just last year. Jalos has a classical look and is probably the cleanest and best lit hotel that I know of in zona norte. I have only gotten a basic room there before, and I believe they have hot tub rooms. I don't think there are suites or penthouses like Cascadas, though. One of the current benefits of Hotel Jalos (and this could change given the clubs upswing) is that it is far less noisy compared to Cascadas or Coahuila. If you find a laid back girl, you could actually have a post-coital conversation without the club bass as a soundtrack.

3 stars to each of the TJ clubs on the main drag. Maybe 2 to Detroit as a whole. All others notable locations might get one at best. It's hard to justify a trip just to see a club.
