As much as people like to tout the Pilgrims and Indians story, that's not at all what Thanksgiving is about. The Thanksgiving holiday is about giving thanks for all the blessings that we've received.

A dancer who is not willing to let you touch in a lap dance is not worth going to VIP with. There seem to be a lot of those types at Synn lately.

I seem to remember hearing the "one drink per hour" thing years ago. If you're buying dances they're probably not going to enforce it. If you're just sitting there watching the stage they might.

RockAllNight: I assume it's a Happy Hour discount for the cover. I've run into that at various clubs over the years.

I don't like 'em. Pretty much every kind of surgical "enhancement" is a negative for me, with very few exceptions (e.g. the chick with mosquito bites who gets well done, soft, B/C cups.)

JamesSD: When something like this happens it gets lots of publicity because sex sells. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen very often. Certainly not frequently enough for the union to make it an issue during negotiations. It's much less important than wages or promotion rules or whatever. Also, they probably know that they'd get raked over the coals in the court of public opinion if they tried to make it an issue.

Not breaking the law. It's never been illegal to not have health insurance. not even at the start of ObamaCare. There was just a civil penalty for it that has long since been zeroed out. That's not to say that it might not have been irresponsible. People who are irresponsible still deserve sympathy though that doesn't necessarily mean they deserve financial support.

I haven't been to Oz yet but based on the reviews here and elsewhere it's certainly possible to get extras there. Definitely not a sure thing like some other spots in the area and probably more expensive but possible.

@JamesSD: I'm struggling to find examples of elected officials explicitly expressing support for Hamas and their actions. There are multiple examples of refusing to condemn Hamas (e.g. CO State Rep Tim Hernandez), making statements that the proper response is to stop providing military aid to Israel (Cory Bush), or calling for an immediate cease fire before the Israelis even responded (AOC, Ilhan Omar). None of these are the same as explicit support but to those of who are stunned by the incredible evil of Hamas' actions (e.g. decapitating babies) these responses feel like implicit support.

Happy Columbus Day! The discovery of the New World by Europeans was one of the most consequential events in the history of the world. It spurred massive change, changed the mindset of the people of a continent from stagnation to optimism and exploration and spurred massive development. For the natural world, the Columbian Exchange triggered radical changes in the distribution of species around the world. All because Columbus (and his backers, etc.) were motivated to find a new trade route. Was everything about the the discovery of the New World rainbows and unicorns? No, just like everything else in human history. But absolutely worth celebrating.

@wildRover: I got a good laugh out of your last line. "outing" a dancer for NOT doing things that are technically illegal. ROFL.

If I had one minor complaint about FC and similar in the area is that you can't really get basic lap dances from most dancers. It can be nice to do a couple get to know you dances with a new dancer before deciding to do extras or else to get one when you're recharging. That said, this is kind of like complaining that a nice streak house doesn't serve cheeseburgers. The important thing is to level set your expectations (i.e. do the research, like BubbleYum says).

$400 for 15 minutes without extras. This is why I save my clubbing for when I travel.

I don't want to go back to a time where everything is formal. I don't particularly like getting dressed up. But there's a time and place for it. The Senate floor is one of those places. Fetterman has been making a mockery of the institution. He claimed that not wearing a suit was necessary for his mental health. If the man can't make himself look presentable maybe he shouldn't be a Senator. I might cut the man some slack if he had been showing up in khakis and a button down. But shorts and a hoodie? Question for those who might know: did men wear a jacket and tie to take a long distance train in the 50's and 60's? Airline travel was pretty exclusively the domain of the wealthy back in those days so I could imagine the standards might have reflected that demographic.

I am very much in favor of warmup dances. While I agree that a good warmup dance doesn't guarantee a good VIP experience, most of my better experiences have been after a good regular lapper. A couple people have suggested that dancers ramp up the heat in a warm up dance to get you into VIP. I've more experienced the opposite: a dancer giving a half hearted lap dance with minimal grinding that shows she's not putting effort into selling herself.

The $20 dances are supposed to be nude but these days most of the dancers I've run into don't take their bottoms off in the LD area.

I think I made it through most of 3 seasons before getting distracted with other things. Overall it was very entertaining. I agree with RiskA - good characterization of Johnny and LaRusso. Don't think too hard about what's happening - there are scenes like the brawl at the end of season 2 that are pretty ridiculous. But the mark of a good show is that you don't focus on that because the story is enjoyable.
