The upside about 1-4 is they're usually cheap visits (at least for me).
Indiana is a #5.
I guess Detroit would be classified as an 11: even the staff does OTC.

Yes, I've seen that behavior before. The San Diego Vu on Midway. The blue lights came on and the gals all rushed to the locker room. The opposite was true at the Fish Market Vu in Seattle. There the gals would all plop down near special time with a guy in hopes of landing a dance order once the deal was announced.
No dance specials at the new Vu?!? If ever there again I'll have to make like the 19 yr olds: spend little, but sit in the front row and drool...

A waitress at Bogart's was peddling. Deposited my hotel room key card in her cleavage and she responded with her phone #. She wound up being one of 3 options for the next day. I only pursued one but it didn't work out. So back to the clubs I went...

They likely knowingly started high with the idea they could always lower it. That is unless the whole financial outlay (property purchase & remodel) necessitated the high-priced VIP.
Did they run any of their flashing blue light 2-for-1 dance specials while you were there?

Don't think I'd recommend Hustler Club to a newbie.

I read your review. Given the economy, the VIP dance area seems overpriced. Adding in the mileage factor of the Vu chain in general and Seattle overall, and a guy would have to have no game whatsoever at a nightclub and/or bar to visit the VIP area at the new Rick's. Don't think I'm there yet!
What comes to mind was the scene at the old Rick's: 19-yr old guys sitting in the front row with no money sipping soda, watching the full nude stage dancing. The hostess seated us near that scene and we were almost attacked by the starved dancers (assumption made we were older and had money). I almost lost a nipple on a sneak attack.

Yeah, GMD: I've contemplated sending BBP to the Green Vegas room for sometime.

Yeah, but insider trading is still legal for DC folk as SEC laws don't extend to them. They'll be able to trade via Blackberry and wait for the stuff to melt.

CG, that was a noble outreach on your part. TUSCLers should picket the new Rick's for "not being up to standards". lol
You really had to dig to find my old review. That visit sucked. The Vu on the 2nd floor (at the Fish Market) was MUCH BETTER!!! Also liked the new (had just opened) Lil Darlins (just north of downtown).

Despite the constant negative press covfefe.
At least JJ has written 11 reviews. How many folks post requesting intel and they haven't written one?

Art, this is a stretch I know, but with Cuba being okay to fly to from Canada, why not 2 weeks in Cuba? Just curious.

While there are laws in Michigan, those governing metro Detroit seem to be largely ignored.
Toronto also seems to be whatever the supply/demand market can work out.

LOL! The thought of Art & Steve careening down the highway on a run to Toronto. "We hit a gusher!!!! Time to do some grade "A" pimpin'!!!!!!"
Dr. VM: One would think the info posted to this site would educate enthusiasts. Instead TUSCL needs to establish a mentor program apparently.

Well, if you don't unEarth any good intel before departing, employ the tourist's best defense in a new club: load up on the singles and man the rail stageside. This limits costs, allows you to meet the talent, and puts the onus on the gals to sell you on what options there are.
Or, get a seat closest to the ATM and check your account balance twice within your first 20 minutes in the club. Then ask the first dancer who shows up whether credit cards can be used for to pay for lap dances. Ask the next dancer whether she banks by smart phone too. [With fraud protection everywhere these days nothing can go wrong with option #2!]

Art, your Cannonball review is a good read. I'm surprised you tolerated THAT furniture for a few hours. But you did un-Earth a strip club bonus: the veteran full of anecdotes. I'll have to employ such an effort when hanging at a club and a dancer provides company. They work in a story-rich environment!

Was at Brad's recently...
Brad's Brass Flamingo • Indianapolis, Indiana
11/05/11 • Rating:
If there's one day of the week to visit a top club, it's a payday Friday! Brad's is no exception. Many a looker working the premesis at this time.
The best place to sit at Brad's? The rail! I sat through 1.5 rotations and got all kinds of mini lappers for $1 each time. From EVERY gal! So stop complaining about the girls hiding in the lockerroom, hunkering down with regulars, etc., and get some from every gal for $1 at the rail! They all work the stage. And it's only a $1.
Tried out the $20 lapper area. Yes it's more private. Closed door really cuts off the sound from the main floor. No appreciable mileage benefit versus the $12 lappers. Why'd I try the $20 area? Too lazy/annoyed to get the extra $2 for the $12 area. Sad, but true.
But jeese, show some Brad's IQ and dig in at the rail!!!

FWIW, I've been in The Hustler Club 3 times and HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A SINGLE DANCE. The prices I have been quoted are just ridiculous for Detroit. The lesson I learned is that H8S serves as a worthy trip and is just a short distance away.
It's a shame you don't have the name of the other dancer.
