^ man that would a be a scary ride back late/middle of the night, especially if you've had some libations. That road is an invitation to fall asleep behind the wheel in the best of circumstances.

My days of doing the Thanksgiving Eve bar crawl are over. I can't handle hangovers anymore and I've no patience for seeing some people I went to high school with the only time I see them the entire year only to be reminded of why I never liked them to begin with. Thanksgiving itself is fine, if a little low key depressing when I think of how many more people we had when I was growing up before the older generation died off and many others moved all across the country. Most of the extended family was concentrated within 2 hours of Boston when I was young. That changed a long time ago.

Ski is right Blah. We all have our preferences, including you. I’m short myself and I made peace a long time ago that there are many women who are not attracted to men shorter than them, of shorter men in general. No big deal. I happen to largely prefer petite women, certainly at least partially due to my own physical makeup, but it’s definitely much more of a guideline than a rule. I have had some great times with women of dancers that were outside the parameters of what I’d normally go for.

Any club that opens in that building will be tarred and feathered by what has gone on there before it.

I have mixed feelings about this. Some of us just don't do that well on standardized testing for whatever reason. I'll add that I'm so white I'm practically translucent. I did not do all that great on the SAT. I didn't bomb it by any means, but I scored around the 80th percentile, which is not considered all that impressive by top schools. Nonetheless, I got accepted to a well regarded university largely on the basis of my grades, activities etc. and then proceeded over the next 4 years running laps academically around many other students who had much higher SAT scores then I did. The LSAT was a repeat, I scored around the 80th percentile. I got into a Top 25 law school based largely on my undergraduate grades and recommendations that then again spent the next 3 years getting much higher grades than many of my fellow classmates who had much higher LSAT scores. For whatever reasons, there are some of us who standardized tests undersell. That said, I also understand that if you remove standardized tests, you subject incoming applicants to the increased subjective biases of the admissions department, which is is own set of problems. Hence, my having mixed feelings on the subject.

^ Ski - if Baker had run, Healey wouldn't have. Everyone knows it. But the MAGA crowd couldn't understand that Massachusetts is not say Alabama, and that Baker is the only type of Republican that can be elected here, so they ran a multi-time loser against him in the Republican Primary, so Baker decided not to run for reelection rather than face the headache of a MAGA primary. As a result Healey kicked Diehl's ass just like Liz Warren did when he ran against her for Senate and anyone with a lick of sense could see that was EXACTLY what would happen.

His HBO specials are fond memories of my childhood. RIP.

^ the story behind that video is absolutely hilarious. The Captain of the ship had no idea how she was going to be dressed until she came out of the crowd of sailors and almost shit himself. Begged the director to have her change her outfit and he straight out refused.

Restaurants of any kind are almost universally short staffed right now. I recently was at a sit down restaurant where I wasn’t even acknowledged for almost 5 minutes after I was seated. I was starting to get upset, but then realized that my waitress had about 15 tables to herself because they were short staffed, so I realized patience would be necessary. Things like this are increasingly common nowadays.

Goodfellas. I do have to say that After Hours is greatly underrated compared to many of his movies. That is one whacked out, but really funny flick.

I don't care enough to make up a fake name or put on a personality of anything like that. I just act like a slightly more outgoing version of myself. I use my real first name and I'm honest about what I do for work if asked, but I don't go out of my way to share personal stuff and I certainly don't ask much about dancers' personal lives. For the most part, I don't want to know. To me, the club is supposed to be a fantasy, and I don't want TMI to interfere with that.

It's definitely a turn on for me with a woman who is truly into it for the reasons stated above. And as Tetra said above, I think some anal porn can be really hot. But then there have some experiences with it where I think the idea of it has been better than the actuality of it, if that makes any sense.

Papi - the problem is that a significant portion of Trump's voters are exactly that, TRUMP voters, not Republican voters. Some of them will not vote for any candidate other than Trump. Even more of them will not vote for any candidate that Trump tells them not to vote for. This is a problem. A very, very large problem.

Yesterday Trump started referring to Desantis as “Ron Desanctimonious”. He’s clearly preparing to run again whether anyone wants him to or not. As someone who wants to see Biden lose in 2024 I’d like nothing more than for Trump to fade into the background as former Presidents traditionally did and get out of the way. But that’s unfortunately not going to happen.

Rick - I'd love to be able to agree with you. But you know as well as I do that if Trump loses in the Republican Primary to say Desantis, he will claim the primary was stolen from him, the same as he did the 2020 election, will never concede nor endorse the winner and will basically act as a political suicide bomber to ensure that Desantis or whomoever is the nominee loses and guarantee another 4 years of a Democrat in the White House.

Tetra - lawn signs don't vote. I'll vote for Diehl but I have no more of an illusion that he'll actually beat Healey for Governor than I did that he would beat Warren for Senator the last time around.

Rick - you are absolutely right. The reason Biden got the nomination in 2020 was because the Democrats coalesced around him out of fear that Bernie would get the nomination because Bernie actually has the temerity to say what he would actually try to do if elected and they new that would scare the shit out of independent voters. I agree with Bernie on virtually nothing policy wise, but at least he bullshits less than just about any other politician about what he believes.
