There was one club I quit going to because they changed business models. It went from paying a cover to enter, which was fairly cheap, to paying for an annual membership. I believe this was done so they could legally allow alcohol consumption. However, it led to a major downgrade of dancer quality because the good looking dancers didn't want to deal with a bunch of drunks. Then COVID happened and it closed down.

Here in Iowa, they already decided the 7 state championships for HS football. They already moved on to basketball and wrestling.

I went to one a club I used to regularly visit put on. It was similar to how rickdugan described it. I had a wristband, free food and half price beer. They also handed out a ticket for drawings for prizes they were giving away. I won a tshirt. I believe it was 2-for-1 lapdances as well. That was one of the few times I remember that club having large quantities of people showing up.
