    Who the fuck is Ninabambina?
What do YOU consider "good money" for a stripper to be making?
My former ATF told me one veteran dance was making $120,000 per year. But she worked a lot of hours and shifts. Many girls get into dancing so they can make good money in 3-4 days but she went for the brass ring. She was there every day, seven days per week. Friday and Saturday nites she would do double shifts. I would guess easily 80 hours per week

    Cologne to the club...
Have to agree with ICEE. It’s seem discriminatory to not allow guys in the club for wearing too much cologne when most dancers wear enough perfume to smell it in the next building

    How’s Work?
The departments that learned to work at home, like accounting, now consider it to be the new normal and I doubt we will ever see them return. Some come only once a week, some once a month. I guess to proof they still are alive so their paychecks don’t stop Among my suppliers, they have finally recognized that single sourcing (particularly from China, but also from India or Eastern Europe) was a mistake. They have geared up for dual sourcing and some production is coming back to the US. But that’s going to take time. 18-24 month lead times for machine tools. And then, will there be enough labor in the US to support the extra capacity? There are still rough times agreed in the industrial sector

    How’s Work?
Covid almost seems like a distant memory but supply chain issues are not getting better. I bet I heard the phrase 3 times just this week “it’s still going to get worse before it gets better” Price increases are coming every 3 months. Several vendors have already indicated they are no longer taking new orders until 2023 at the earliest.

I don’t think you can go wrong with one of the high end New Balance walking shoes. I have wide, big feet and they are the only brand that fits well. Comfortable and extremely durable. Not as flashy as other brands and color choices are limited. $100 to $140 depending on model

If you owned your own strip club what would you do different?
what azdd said. I know plenty say they don’t care about the music but music does make a difference in the overall enjoyment of the visit. Whether it be too loud or poor quality (think of the dives that still have juke boxes) or the type of music. I think a club (or DJ or dancer) should at least try and select music somewhat appropriate to the time of day a clientele.

    Long Commutes
Longest commute I’ve ever had is 20 minutes. I’ve moved - now I get on the interstate but stay on the merging lane. Get on but get right back off less than 1/4 Mile. My road dead ends so I can’t get there from here without the interstate

    Are they hiring dancers
Not meaning to give a rude or flippant answer but aren’t all clubs always looking for attractive dancers? Has there ever been a club manager tell a beautiful woman “oh, our roster is full, we can’t use you”

How often do you use algebra?
SJG - your comment about old hand held calculators made me think back. I don’t know your age, but I’ll date myself here. In my high school physics class we could not use a calculator until we demonstrated proficiency with a slide rule. No one had calculators but there were two HP calculators available for the entire class to share. And if you remember the original HP calculators used RPN - Reverse Polish Notation. Kind of difficult to use. I talked by parents into getting me a TI scientific notation calculator which I used for high school physics and all of college. It was about $125 which was expensive back then.

I’ve also heard that only about half of high school geometry courses still teach formal two-column proofs. Granted, that’s a skill one will most likely never use again in real life, but it did help develop critical thinking skills - at least I think so

How often do you use algebra?
I deal with fluid power concepts everyday and commonly use algebra to calculate force, pressure, flow, torque etc. But computerized engineering tools are making that less and less. But I’ve kept all my math skills sharp over the years helping friend’s kids and now grandkids with their math homework. I was a math minor in college so I was the go to guy for math help. I get several texts per week to help with a problem. I don’t know of any TUSCL members admitting to being teachers but being exposed to the common core math that is being taught often doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I’ve had math through Calculus 3, linear algebra, differential equations, and advanced statistics and find the way the problems are worded to be baffling like a non math person wrote it.

    Strip Club Consolidation
I’ve said for years some towns have too many clubs. I know it’s blasphemous to utter such words on a strip club site. I don’t visit clubs in the shitty town of Flint, but I made several posts on the old Michigan TwoSheds board years ago about too many clubs per capita and the talent gets too diluted. There are at least 8 clubs for a town of 80,000 people. 2-3 max

“They all have a big screen TV, but they watch movies and reality shows, not the news.” Universally, they all seem to love that stupid show about the Kardashians. But two different dancers recommended Sons of Anarchy and Dexter. Good picks. Shameless has also been recommended but haven’t watched it yet

    It's later than you think.
My ATF was a former practicing Catholic, as was I. At the time we had both just recently fallen away. We used to talk about it quite a bit. It wasn’t so much that we had both lost our faith, but she wasn’t getting home until 5 am and I was staying at the club until closing and it just seemed like sleep was a bigger priority than church.
