You're a braver man than I, young sir... though I do wonder if the recent influx of Central/South American girls includes the traffic on the street.
And I still envy you your luck in BT... it gives me a sad every time you mention it. :-)

On the weekends, HK is packed from 9pm till 2 or 3am and the room rates for Cascadas are higher. That is when you see their top talent, though. One thing to keep in mind is that the other clubs will have their best offerings as well so you may actually have better luck outside HK.
Overall, I like weekdays better because they're a little more chill and I hate crowds. Why not compromise and include either Friday or Saturday? Variety is the spice of life. :-)
BTW, it may not be as crowded as you think for the holiday... I've found that the crowds are even bigger when there's a big boxing match or futbol game and that includes the parking lots in San Ysidro (they do actually fill up once in a while).

Regarding Street Girls: Some of them can start at 200 pesos, but you get what you pay for in general. You are not getting a goddess or a GFE at that price point. Most are not allowed into Cascadas (the ones who are are usually parked by the north entrance). If you're going to roll the dice with a street girl, ask her if she's got her STD card. If she doesn't have one, you don't know if she's got unwelcome guests to pass on to you (and she likely does). I don't see the point in investing the time and money to travel to another country to scratch your itch that way unless that's your kink, in which case, carry on.
The club girls have all been tested and have current cards as a condition of employment. Even so, anything bareback with any woman in the ZN is a gamble.

You want a duffle or a backpack... Mexico isn't too friendly to rolling luggage in general and Cascadas is up a steep-ish flight of stairs that are a pain to navigate with a suitcase.
I have never understood why anyone would want to stay in one of the crap hotels in San Ysidro and cross back and forth as it's not like your stuff is going to be any safer there. Cascadas doesn't do daily housekeeping and I've never had anyone working there go into my room or touch my stuff while I've been there.

Most of the girls either know how to use Google Translate (and will pull it up on their phones) or can pick it up quickly enough. I'm trying to learn Spanish because I vacation there a lot and I'm seriously considering doing the snowbird thang down there when I retire. I also see myself as a guest there and try to use their language where I can as a token of respect.

Nice. I'm looking forward to checking out the hybrid vigor myself, soon. I've always found that dollar tips go a lot farther in Adelita's, CC, the the smaller bars

Negative conditioning works... I made that mistake years before I even knew this site existed. Apply this lesson in your future clubbing if you want any peace of mind. Take rickdugan's advice to heart and tie it to OTC services in the future when any dancer approaches you with something like this.

Yeah, TJ is like Vegas... after three days of it I'm ready for real life again.
It would be cool if you could post pics of your room at Cascadas once you get back. I've been getting a master room my past few visits because it increases the chance of getting an outside window, but I'm thinking of going with a double my next visit.

Pre-covid, I used to budget around 4 hours to check out and get to SAN from Cascadas (and picked my flights accordingly). I have stayed at a few hotels near America Plaza the night before my flight if it was an early takeoff and the area around the station is nice enough (you also get to take the hotel's shuttle to the airport). I guess it depends on how pissed you're going to be if you miss your flight. :-)
One thing to keep in mind is that if regular school starts up in September, weekday mornings will be busier with TJ kids who go to school on the US side. Another reason to get a Sentri card...

I don't disagree with the collective wish-listing (I'd love nothing more than to get rid of the trolls on the site), but Founder has very, very good reasons for not upping the level of moderation on this site. I can sum it up in five words: legal liability, his and ours. Like the disclaimer says at the bottom of each and every page, "Everything on this site should be considered a work of fiction."
If you start policing the content, then that disclaimer goes out the window tears might ensue.
Also, moderation requires time and effort, and I don't think this site makes him enough money to let him manage it to that level of detail.

Given that I have to take a long flight to even get there, the decision to get a short time room never comes up for me. On the other hand, the fact that there's a bar by the check-in desk kinda makes me think that it should be possible and relatively easy to get drinks on the way to your own room, too... :-)

Good stuff. I don't know why they keep the music at a level high enough to shift your internal organs around... I've found myself checking out the other clubs on the block at regular intervals just to let my ears heal a bit the past few years.
$60 for a short time room with no a/c for an hour sounds like a little more than the price of two 30 minute sessions... are they including mandatory drinks with that?

File under trolling, low grade.
When/if you actually go to HK, you'll actually be able to speak from direct experience and not just send out random thoughts from mommy's basement until in-person high school starts up again. Best wishes for the coming school year.

@tbot1102:
In your case, sounds like she may well have been tired or just uninterested at the moment. It happens and it's no big deal... they're independents with the ability to say no if they want to. A situation like Christobal's where the BG bails before finishing her drink is rarer and different because it's bad for business. All it takes is a word to the mesero and she will hear about it in a not nice way because accepting the ficha carries an expectation that she didn't meet.

A few things come to mind:
1. The original post is just under 2 years old and completely irrelevant now.
2. This 2icee person has got to be seriously bored to try and troll an irrelevant post from two years ago written by someone who is on hiatus from mongering.
3. There used to be much higher quality trolling on this website. 2icee needs to seriously up his game.

What hotel did you stay in? Walking back to your hotel that late is a potentially dangerous move in TJ depending on where you're going, especially if you're brand new to the experience...

Good Review.
A note to all the mongers reading this -- it is much more effective to wash with soap than to use wipes or antibacterial gel if a virus is your worry. And on the plus side, it's a helluva lot more fun if you do it with company. :-)
Your BG sounds like a GND type, and that makes me suspect that she won't change her hygiene regimen until she really trusts you. However, my best guess is that this is likely occasional rather than regular work for her based on your description. If I were as close as you to TJ I'd take that as a hopeful sign...

Thanks for the review. I tend to stay away from this place because some of the most annoying SGs tend to stand around the door and I remember reading that they were suspected of using underage girls. That being said, there's always a decent chance you'll find a diamond in the rough in the smaller bars...

Helping sexy ladies a dollar at a time
If you're going to go the escort route then you're likely going to need a room outside the ZN (e.g., Ticuan) because you may not be able to bring them into Cascadas (though a well placed tip might change that). Decent quality escorts will very likely be costlier than the same quality in the ZN... and there will still be a chance that you don't get the company you expect. You'll probably have much better luck by going to the clubs and working out OTC with a girl there if that's what you're looking for.
Or, you can just stay at Cascadas and do what the rest of us do... my personal feeling is that HK girls are about as good as you'll find in TJ because that's where the money is. I'm curious: why are you even considering escorts in a place like TJ?

It's a trolley. Expanding on what I said above, you could park at an Amtrak station, take a train down to Santa Fe station, and walk across the street to American Plaza to catch the trolley down to San Ysidro.

@Papi_Chulo: Unfortunately, the airport is right downtown, so it can be a real PITA to get to... one of the many things that annoys me about Cali.
Your idea does give me a similar idea, though: If you start from north of San Diego, you can park at an Amtrak station like Solana Beach. It would beat having to drive through the city and you would end up across the street from the trolley. I'm going to try and remember that the next time I'm in LA and want to make the trip down. :-)

In a word, no. It's the U.S. government that will decide that and you're better off watching the State Department website. Right now, the next date for re-evaluating the border closure is June 21st. No reason to expect a change until then at the earliest. With this new Delta variant for Covid, I would put my money on the closure staying in place.

Yeah, calling shenanigans on this one.
Some BGs may deliver much less than you're expecting, but I've never heard a story like this one.
I've had meseros be late with my change, but never had that happen with a bartender. I've also never heard of a bar in the ZN that lets you open a tab. It's always been cash up front.
Closest I've come to an issue with Azul was my first trip ever when I freaked out over my $105 bill for breakfast and got seriously embarrassed to learn that they use "$" for pesos, too. Oops. :-)
Lastly, if you don't know how to use a credit card outside of your home country safely then you deserve what you get. Negative reinforcement works. That being said, I have used a card to pay for my room at Cascadas without any issues (you still need to pay the room deposit in cash).

Good stuff.
There are two things that disappoint with CC, and that's the annoying meseros and the crap hotel (Jalos). There was one mesera there who would bring girls by nonstop, watch the ficha like a hawk and swoop in as soon as it looked low until I told her to just back off for a while. Maybe they only make money off tips. Another way to get around it is to sit at the bar until you're ready to buy someone a drink and then move to a table. I think you missed out by not doing more fichas as the girls are a lot more, uh, liberal there. I've had girls come straight to my booth from the stage and spend the whole time with me naked.
As far as the hotel goes, I have no idea why they don't do some reno work to match up with the reno in the club...
