Maybe Founder should put up a sticky post telling people to actually read stuff on this website before asking questions that already have multiple detailed answers in the free part of the site...

Um, some of us just don't see it as a big deal or expense to park by the border. It's convenient, safer than an unsupervised public lot, and you don't have to make sure you're back across before the last trolley. :-)

Impossible to give you a breakdown given the amount of turnover week-by-week, but in my experience you will find girls of just about every description. If you're looking for natural girls in particular, you're in luck. Young? Ditto. Mature? Ditto. Dark? Surgically enhanced? Skinny? Tall? You get the idea, hopefully. You may need to exercise some patience, but that's about it.

Lots of people go to TJ each year, and only a small fraction are there to monger. There are breweries and a pretty good foodie culture:
https://sandiego.eater.com/maps/best-restaurants-tijuana-mexico
The first four on that list are a short walk from HK. You can Google the breweries, or even make the trip out to Tecate. The beaches are OK (better than OK if you're into seafood), and in addition to the breweries there are some decent wineries around Ensenada. I would get a local guide for the art or music scene, and the ZN bars are actually not a bad place to recruit one -- a significant number of bargirls are there not because they are uneducated and unemployable, but rather because they can make a lot of money there. :-)

My $0.02: If you stick with one or two meseros and tip them consistently, they can be a lot of help in finding girls. One potential downside is that the more eager ones might start bringing a steady stream of girls to you who may or may not fit what you're looking for. If that's an annoyance, just tell them. As far as picking out a pair for a threesome, you're only going to know for sure it looks good by talking to the girls together. It means buying a pair of fichas instead of just one each time, but it's worth the investment.
%1000 will pretty much guarantee a good time over two days unless you try hard not to have one. :-)

My answer would be if you don't want a tip, then thanks and have a great day. Can't say I've ever been in a cab pulled over by the police.

TFP, I did some follow up research on this and some carriers may not forward to a non-US phone number, so you need to check with your carrier. There are AT&T paygo plans that will give you a US number and not charge for roaming in Mexico (e.g., https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1009408/). Hope that helps.

P.S. - It's also perfectly safe and not too expensive to get a room at the hotel for the night... hotel website is here: https://hotelcascadas.com/. The rooms are on par with middle of the road places in the US.

Anything will be available, but not all girls in the club will be into it. Best to say exactly what you want up front when you start negotiating. The lapdance booths cost $22 for five minutes. VIP booths go for $60 for 30 minutes and hotel rooms go for $28 for 30 minutes. If you want more than a lapdance, the last two are your choices and the girl will want about $100-150 for it. All the bar girls in this club get regular STD tests at a government office but there's never a zero risk for this sort of thing.
As a civvie, you will be given a bright wristband at the door so the other customers know not to try and hit on you.

@bromo: like tahoecruz, I have never had my stuff molested while at Cascadas. I have also left extra luggage in the trunk of my rental car when parking at Border Station (the lot across from PedWest) after finding out that the lot is used by a lot of CBP folks. Again, no issues with that option. If you're in San Diego for a conference, a potential third option is to just check with the hotel you're staying at to see if they'd hang on to your extra bag(s) for an extra couple of days for a fee (or tip). Some do.
@tahoecruz: There's services like bagbnb in the city, but I'm guessing that the combination of the drug trade and 9/11 restrictions that are still around make it hard to make that a viable business in San Ysidro...

Congrats on a successful trip.
A few notes from me:
The master rooms should all have A/C... some of them run off a remote that they don't leave in the room -- you need to phone down or ask one of the towel guys to start/set it for you. In any case, next time just ask for another room right away. Those rooms get hot in the summer. You should check the john and the water temp/pressure in the shower too when you get there.
The bottle service is nice, but if you want booze in your room you can get some either from the Oxxo or the liquor store a bit down the street. Definitely a cheaper option.
As far as phone service goes, I say invest in a burner next time you're there. There's a tech mercado here https://goo.gl/maps/Xj3TczSWRVebULJ7A where you can get some good deals, and the Telcel paygo SIMs are arguably the best. You can get one with about 5GB of data for about 500 pesos. That way you can just set your own phone to forward to the burner and leave it in your room. And you can add minutes/data to it at Oxxo or 7Eleven down there so it's basically a one time investment.
And DEFINITELY pace yourself on alcohol. Last thing you want after the trouble of getting there is to sleep through it. :-)

Anywhere there are Titties.
IMO it depends on whether you look at this site as a source of entertainment, information or both. I'm basically in the info camp, so the Ignore feature is something I'm grateful for and use liberally. Most of the trolls and attention seekers here just aren't entertaining enough for me to pay attention to them.
I note that the public pages are quite accessible to thirteen year-olds with basic computer knowledge and that means you're bound to get a few of them playing around for something to do. I don't hold it against them, but that doesn't mean I have to bear witness.

@besmitty: Make sure you get your VIP card before you check in (there's a desk at the entrance of HK where you do this, just ask at the door). They won't give you the room discount unless you have it in hand.

@besmitty: desertscrub is one of the consistent trolls on this site... if you click on anyone's name in the comments you'll see a lovely little button labeled Ignore and if you click it, then you get blessed silence from that person from then on.
On the subject of safety, if you're respectful and have street smarts you will be just fine. Anything can happen, yes, but remember that TJ pre-covid had millions of tourist visitors a year. Right now, things are just starting to open up in general and there will be a lot of pressure to make sure that there will also be millions of visitors post-covid as well. I can count the number of trip reports here that mention getting robbed or attacked on the fingers of one hand.

Nice stuff. Totally agree about the weekday experience, and one thing I haven't seen mentioned is that weekday day shift is usually what a new BG will work to learn the ropes so the chances of GFE vs. GPS are better than in the evenings.
